Just gonna drop this here:

The really sad thing is that even if you were able to switch to Landeskog immediately I'm not sure there would be anything you could do here. Stick lift from there is likely a penalty. He's too close for DSS or poke checks to be effective and Forseberg probably bounces off a hit.
You would need to have switched the split second he starts to move to the right to have any chance.

When/IF you manage to time a player switch so that you're in control of a player that is literally on-top of a puck carrier, there is currently no penalty-averse action you can take. In these scenarios, you should be able to lightly tap stick lift, without risk of a penalty, to at least disrupt the possession and recreate what it's like to have someone right in your bubble while controlling the puck. It shouldn't result in a penalty 9/10 times. This just allows the puck carriers to unrealistically dominate the game.

In NHL 22 - Landeskog's body positioning would've knocked the puck loose but in NHL 23 it appears everything is favoring the puck carrier including an almost complete absence of incidental contact.

Yeah - at the very least turning incidental contact way higher for online play would help this. Even if the AI stays super passive and doesn't take any defensive action, the puck carrier would still have to avoid running into him or his stick, and can't act if he doesn't exist.
I wonder if it would be a good thing for NHL to have a teammate press button like FIFA, to add a skill element to using AI help and to make it feel less like it's 5 on 1. Of course it would have to be implemented in a way where it has to be used with good timing and not overly used.
