Competitive games or complete challenges

Why can’t I have both?

The challenges are so ridiculous that I can either complete them and win by 5-7 goals or I can have competitive games and fail challenges. 
Challenge, get three points next game. Doesn’t work so well when you have the goalie slider set to 0 and the shot accuracy slider set to 100 and the AI goalies are still standing on their heads. My team had 50 shots and we scored 1 goal. I get double digit shots per game and am lucky to get a goal per.
