Your issue is the distance to the server, not your speed. The only way to reduce the ping is to reduce the distance between you and the server. If we ever get a server closer to you or if you move closer to the western server, the ping should drop.
Are you sure the difference in speed isn't due to playing opponents with faster players and synergies that affect speed?
As far as optimization goes, the biggest upgrade I had to my own connection was to get a good router with gaming features. They can be a bit pricey, but with the amount of online activity in my home, it's been worthy investment. Also, the cost is offset as well since you're not leasing the equipment from your ISP. They typically don't provide equipment that caters to gaming.
Make sure you're using a premium HDMI cable. If you're on Xbox Series S/X or PS5, you should be using the cable that came with your system. Also, game mode should be enabled on your TV.
@EA_Aljo thanks for the quick reply. My team is pretty stacked (94/90) so there’s no disadvantage there.
I’ll take a look at a gaming router, and if you could put a good word in for adding future bandwidth for the city of Los Angeles and Southern California it would be appreciated. 🙂
