Yup that's fair; many of em are great, I just don't really like the celebrity ones speaking for me (and I can NOT wait to embarrass some of em noe that crossplay is a thing).
The way I see it, most streamers seem to be in it for themselves - the HUT pack openings for example give an extremely skewed view of pack odds and I personally find that harmful to younger players.
With their huge follower counts their personal views sort of become theirs and it creates an echo chamber in my opinion and that doesn't necessarily help the hardcore players.
Call me jaded, but higher scores bring more viewers and you get that by making the game overly arcadey with wayyy more buffs to offense than there are for D.

@TTZ_Dipsy I don't want to start a debate for or against HUT streamers/game changers... but my point in all fairness to them is that they are generally the ones with the most accurate latest information on the game progress, either by experience or because of their contacts in the NHL dev team, reporting on twitter posts etc.
For a lot of people, this guidance and tips are extremely precious.
So in short I praise them for the informational value of their content, minus the pack openings who manage to get more views for some reason and thus forcing streamers to do that as it seems a large portion of the audience wants to see that... but I digress... To me they are the closest thing we have from Good Morning Madden who provide critical and official information to players often directly from the Madden dev team.
Nothing is perfect but they provide a ton of useful information (sure, mostly about HUT progression) but that's the same with GMM and it's quite popular and appreciated in the Madden world.
I wish we had something similar with NHL or as I stated before, open lines of communication with those in the NHL team that can actually turn feedback into a game patch or a fix quickly.
