@EA_Aljo I don't care about modern hockey. There are alumni teams and alumni players without helmets, alumni goalies wearing vintage masks. Please let us create our vintage teams with unhelmeted players, just like alumni teams.

Community ManagerI think the problem is that this game is focused on modern hockey. Which is why the name always reflects the current year. Hopefully someday there will be a game focused on those vintage years of hockey you love. I'm not saying we won't have these options at some point. I just wanted to give some additional information on why you don't see a lot of aspects of vintage hockey reflected in our modern take on it.
- @EA_Aljo Come on now. There is roster sharing, and people share vintage rosters all the time: original six, 1970s, WHA etc. We just want them as realistic as possible. We want to create Orr, Esposito, Hull and many others without helmet just like Gordie Howe and many other alumni players now. It has nothing to do with modern hockey or the game title. Our hobby is to create vintage rosters and share them.
@EA_Aljo Thanks for replying on this topic. Helmetless option for created players was like the most requested feature on this forums this past year. We can remove helmets online so why can't we do it offline as well?
Vintage goalie masks too. They are in the game and assigned to some alumni goalies. Why can't we assign them to our created goalies? A lot of people enjoy creating vintage rosters (I'm part of a vintage roster creation discord group with around 150 people) and with more vintage options added you will appeal more to older people as well and not just the kids, i.e more people would buy the game.
It's not like we are requesting you pay a lot of money to get the rights to use every historic player who ever played and their likeness, we just want the option to create players without helmets, and goalies with the 70's vintage goalie masks. I don't think that's a lot to ask and it would make vintage roster creation so much more fun.@EA_AljoI think getting the Offline and Alumni going should be the next step.
NHL has got their online stuff on point, have now included the women's rosters aswell. Whata next to include? The Alumni and the offline mode.
Give those 2 things alot more attention among with the create a player and create a team and then we got a great game..
One thing I don't like is when Alumni players that are more known don't have their real or similar looking faces and likeness. Actually a real pet peeve.
I hope that for future titles we can fix these improve these issues.NHL is making baby steps to improve into a game for everyone to enjoy. Taking care of these things for a 23 patch or even start new for NHL 24 with the focus and well all be singing its praises.
I want more create a team logo and jersey options. Also can we get the Atlanta Thrashers logo and color scheme?
