Community ManagerI think the problem is that this game is focused on modern hockey. Which is why the name always reflects the current year. Hopefully someday there will be a game focused on those vintage years of hockey you love. I'm not saying we won't have these options at some point. I just wanted to give some additional information on why you don't see a lot of aspects of vintage hockey reflected in our modern take on it.
@EA_Aljo Thanks for replying on this topic. Helmetless option for created players was like the most requested feature on this forums this past year. We can remove helmets online so why can't we do it offline as well?
Vintage goalie masks too. They are in the game and assigned to some alumni goalies. Why can't we assign them to our created goalies? A lot of people enjoy creating vintage rosters (I'm part of a vintage roster creation discord group with around 150 people) and with more vintage options added you will appeal more to older people as well and not just the kids, i.e more people would buy the game.
It's not like we are requesting you pay a lot of money to get the rights to use every historic player who ever played and their likeness, we just want the option to create players without helmets, and goalies with the 70's vintage goalie masks. I don't think that's a lot to ask and it would make vintage roster creation so much more fun.
