Does anyone at EA have specific information on the updates to creation zone? There are constantly requestsfor new custom logos, Historic team logos, and access to all in game logos including AHL teams. What about the ability to upload our own logos?Will we be able to update team jerseys in the offseason for all teams, not just created ones? Any updates beforethe game is released would be nice.

@Mattdaddy517 We definitely need some new logos in the creation zone. I don't understand why not all historic logos in the game are included in create a team. Mighty Ducks logo for example, would be nice to have.New jersey and sock styles are needed too. It's getting old having everything the same every year. Sock styles haven't been updated at all since NHL 17 I believe.Regarding player creation a no helmet option is a must, and for goalies the option to wear a vintage mask. These two very simple things would open up a whole new world of possibilities for historic roster creation. Please EA, give us these options this year

Very good message @SvenArne123 , you are right we definitely need updates to creation zone.I'm also wondered ,why all historic logos are not our use in team creation. Three new historic logo, which I wanted see in NHL 23 are :Actually would be nice if we could use all logos what game is, when we create teams. This make possible create for example historical rosters for european teams like Frölunda HC, Tappara Tampere, Färjestad BK or HIFK Helsinki. One good idea could be also possiblity upload own logos to game like in 2K NBA games. In 2K NBA game you can upload logos to game via their website. This would bee awesome add to NHL 23, after this we could add to game for example KHL team logos or historical NHL team logos.We really need also new jersey - and sock styles to creation zone. For example NY Rangers home jersey is missing like also Seattle Kraken jersey style is missing. Interesting why EA Sports not added Reverse retro jerseys to game when that jerseys published. Hopefully they add "reverse retro" jerseys to creation zone.About me ,we need the following things to player creation :- Same face creator program what EA Sports use in FIFA games.- Possibility choose colour of facemask on the following helmet models: * College helmet * Hybrid shield * Standard masks (goalie mask)Now when you choose one of these helmet types: College helmet, hybrid shield or half cage helmet for created player, helmet and facemask is same colour. Normaly facemask colour is silver, white or black . When we create player we could choose visor tint but, why we can't also choose colour for facemask. Hopefully EA Sports would has changed this in NHL 23.- Possible create players which not use helmet.- Historical player - and goalie gears to use.- Now minum length which you can choose for created players is 170 cm. Hopefuly EA Sports fix this so that in future we could create players which minimum length is 145- 165 cm. Why I want see this in game? Reason is female players. Big part of female players are under 170 cm tall. We need possibility use female players in team creation.

Like we see, in here is lot of peoples, which like create players and teams to the game. I think these people should be listened to and not always update only game modes what online players want. Some players like play online game modes like HUT and EASHL, but some players like play offline game modes, they like play single matches and create player and teams. About me EA Sports has forgot this player group totaly. Their updates to creation zone are minimal, they added adidas jersys to use and added few logos to ,team creation side. On player creation side they have add few new equipments , but lot of skater - and goalie gears, which are published durring two last years is missing . Okay in NHL 22 they update "play by play" name list it was big surprise, hopefully this year they update locations list.

Hey @EA_Aljo ! I do agree that the game is focusing on modern hockey as it should. But they could do both worlds. I just say NBA 2K23 is going to have not just one but three classic "ERAS" where you can start a franchise mode with.And... 🙂Depending on what era you start the logos, team rosters,floors uniforms are accurate to the era, original broadcast from that era,different commentary in the eras, authentic rules....And you can still edit everything as you want, add expansion teams etc....So its not about what is possible and what is not, 2K have proved that its about what kind of product the game company want to deliver to the costumers.If EA would just open up fully edit all in franchise mode anytime in all their games, and actually make better creation options and not lock in som of the game modes, the game would actually by really good and everyone could make it fun for a hole year. 🙂

I appreciate your response, I agree with all the comments but for the time being it would be very beneficial for EA and awesome for us if EA would focus some on revamping the creation zone. Giving us consumers the ability to at least create our own throwback teams. These alumni teams are redundant (Stu Grimson is on every alumni team) and missing a lot of great players like Paul Kariya, Russ Courtnall, Alexander Mogilny, Pavel Bure…Sergei Fedorov. I’ve been rockn with you guys since NLHPA 93 and I understand, well at least I think you guys are pushing the CHEL mode more so it can be a solid Esports contender??🤷🏽♂️.p.s. my birthday is coming up hook a brotha up and give me some more logos to create teamsi made 34 created teams this year to mimic College hockey you want to see them?

@EA_AljoThat's WHY we want to be able to create helmetless players, so we can recreate vintage seasons and historic rosters.

We will be able to do a 6 team franchise mode in NHL 23, that means we could create any original 6 season roster and play through a franchise mode. Awesome, but how much fun would it be if all the players has to wear helmets and the goalies in modern masks? Not so much IMO.

@EA_Aljo Players without helmets are already provided by EA in some of the alumni players. Vintage goalie masks are also already provided in some of the alumni players.

I don't think anyone is asking for anything that isn't supported in the game already. We just want the ability to assign these options to our created players is all.

If they are already in the game then why not allow the users of the game to do the same thing?

I definitely get that, but those are players in HUT, which is more of a fantasy league. You can have a player without a helmet in the EASHL as well, but again, that's not the real NHL. Franchise Mode represents the modern-day NHL. I'm just providing a little context on why this might not be an option. I'm not saying we shouldn't have this feature.

@EA_AljoBut this year we will be able to customize our franchise mode with anything from 6-48 teams, so doing a 6 team franchise mode for example is not the real modern day NHL either, but more of a fantasy league. I'm really glad that option is added, now I just hope we get the no helmet option as well so we can do original 6 or 70's season rosters for a custom franchise/season mode. That would be so awesome.

That's a good point. You can certainly create your own league that doesn't reflect the current NHL, but it still takes place in the modern era of hockey. At any rate, I hope these features are added someday.

In addition to old equipment and more vintage logos, we also need more relevant modern equipment. And judging by the reveal trailers and technical test highlights, it appears new non-Bauer equipment will once again be non-existent at launch. Goalies still wearing SLR 2’s, skaters still wearing CCM CL500’s, Marner not wearing True Catalyst gloves, etc.

In creation zone there are wooden vintage sticks and vintage goalie gear available. Why not vintage masks?
We can choose if the player has a visor or not. Why can't we choose if he wears a helmet or not?
We are just asking very simple things. This really can't be so difficult.

@olavi4 "We can choose if the player has a visor or not." We can even choice tint of visor, but we can't choose colour of facemask in College helmet and Hybrid shield helmet models. Now facemasks colour is same than helmet colour. Normaly facemask colour is silver, white or black. Would be nice also choise visor to JOFA helmet.
