Constructive feedback from someone who cares;
I’ve been playing since the original on Sega Genesis. Yes I’m old.
A significant issue with the game is the constant adding/removing features year after year. Very frustrating and doesn’t make any sense. Just stop doing that. Also frustrating and downright unacceptable is the same glitches remain in the game year after year. Like the “Game Speed” glitch found in offline Play Now mode. Im not going to mention any issues with online play because they’ve been discussed thousands of times already.
4 small/fine details that would go along way;
The game has felt stale since NHL 15. One of the reasons for this are several small details (I’ll mention 4);
1. Goalie Masks. Most of the goalie masks have now been in the game for 10 plus years. Simply changing the masks every couple years would go a long way to “freshen” things up.
2. Goalie Pad Color and Mask when wearing alternate jersey. Big example is Canucks black alternate.
3. Backup Goalies on the Bench. They ALWAYS wear a ball cap IRL.
4. Player Bio Pics. Zero excuse for having the blank player bio pic (Especially Star players like Beniers & Kuzmenko).This is something that again has reappeared year after year.
Just 4 small examples that would go along way to making the game feel fresher. The fine details Do matter.
