Deflections and Big Tipper
The first thing I have to say about this is...
EA, if we're going by even the smallest semblance of real hockey, not every deflected shot is a shot on net. In fact, the majority of deflections go wide. However, there's only three majority outcomes of a deflected shot in this game. On goal for a save, in the goal, or off the post. There is a very rare occasion if the tipping player is so far out of position in relation to the goal, the tip will hit the outside of the net, but still hit the net if it is an outside shot.
Let's ignore that players with Tipper will reach to deflect a shot perfectly if they are even 3 inches in front of a player taking a random slapper from anywhere in the O-zone. I know people like to harp on Truck, Elite Edges, Etc, but this one is a personal peeve of mine simply because D-men (and Any-Men) can just fling shots at the net. Players just have to stand there (no user input required) while opposing defenseman try to deal with the natural lag of the game and time their stick lifts or net battles.
Obviously this will fall into the bracket of putting out a game and adjusting absolutely nothing, counter to the industry standard of tweaking multiplayer games for balance with a steady stream of patches. We club poors have to continue dealing with it, but at least a lot of the leagues are starting to ban this X-Factor. Along with Truck as well.
