Disconnection

I bought the game last Thursday... for some reasons, the game goes fine, then suddenly out of nowhere, it says my wifi connection was lost... I get disconnected from EA servers. I lose the game every time even tough all the game that I have lost due to connection, I was leading. It never happened when I was losing... I don't know if it's just a coincidence. It always happens during the 3rd period. I quit the game, and it brings me to the main menu. I return in HUT like nothing happened. I went to look for my wifi, but I have around 100 mbps, which is fine I think ! Never had problems in the past !

Unfortunately, that's going to happen as long as you're on a wireless connection.

Your speed is fine, but being on wi-fi has a much better chance to disconnect than being wired. Is it possible to switch to a wired connection or is your router too far away?

Hi again, my router is far away unfortunately! I have reinitialized my PS4 once, I moved the PS4 to a location so that the wifi wouldn't be a problem... I can play like 4-5 games without any problem, then suddenly, BANG... it happens without lagging or anything ! Like I said, always happens during the 3rd period, when I have the lead. I have lost 8-9 games this way ! I hold a record of like 45-30-3, without this problem, I'd be around 53-22-3 ☹️

Same here. Fifa 23 has been the worst Fifa for this that I can ever remember. All other online games manage fine.
One thing I am noticing which IS a bug is that I get kicked up of a match and then get a promotional splash screen come up detailing the latest players available in packs. It is interrupting the game state and has nothing to do with wi-fi.
In addition to this, we end up getting punished by suggesting that we disconnected on purpose and will receive fewer coins from future matches.
The way Fifa handles disconnected sessions is atrocious yet it won't do anything to players who rage quit matches or abuse the mechanics of the game to make playing these 'people' a truly painful experience.
EA make no attempt to fix the real problems with this game and punish those who don't want wires running all through their house. It's like EA expect us to still be living in 2005 again.
I appreciate anyone who takes the time to respond but just because you say the same thing all of the time ('this will happen when playing over wi-fi'), it does not make it correct.

Wireless connections are probably the reason for the majority of connection problems. If you play FIFA 23 regularly, I'd like you to run the Connection Quality Report and get me a screenshot of the overall score as well as the match history. You can find the button for that on the left side of the screen. Thanks!

Thats a garbage response. This is the only online game this happens to.
