@Riditelvesmiru I think there are caps and different animations that keep some attributes within a range of effectiveness.. I also think being "good" at NHL 23 comes down to 4 things..
1. Your general understanding of the game and being able to effectively defend and score.
2. Your understanding of EA hockey and all the small adjustments and ways you can take advantage of the game.
3. Your effectiveness of taking advantage of these things. L2 abuse, speeding up your guy by passing, puck protect to avoid hits, taking advantage of X-factors in unconventional ways.
4. The amount you feel you *should* take advantage of these things. You have some players who try to play hockey as it should be played and they will more often get beaten by someone who is just as good but takes advantage of EA hockey. They will get on the forums and say things like "not taking advantage of everything in the game is a personal problem" then there is a class of players who will take advantage of all that AND next level stuff like finding ways to make a game not count in WOC or hiding behind then net.
Of those 3 levels the bottom level sees anyone in the groups above as the same type of player.. the levels above sees anyone below as not taking advantage of everything in the game and stupid for not doing so. They all feel they're right about how the game should be played. EA unfortunate does nothing to rectify the situation or fix so many problems in gameplay. It's too often we just pretend they're not problems.
