@Riditelvesmiruif you want to win some games you can play NHL hockey, if you want to win a lot of games you play EA hockey, and if you want to win nearly all games you use every available cheap tactic including trying to desync the game. This is what top players do. Some people in these forums I would consider a level 2, they will use every EA created advantage short of hiding behind the net or desyncs. To someone who wants to play real hockey this is just as bad as someone hiding behind the net and to them/ or someone who would hide behind the net, you're just not good because you're not taking advantage of what EA has put into the game. If you want to win a lot that's what you gotta do. So you have a choice, don't complain and learn EA hockey.. or complain and hope the devs hear/ listen and try to make some strides to make this game behave a little better. Tbf to the level 2 people I mentioned I think a lot of them WANT things like L2 abuse to be fixed, but until it is they're gonna take advantage of it.
Personally when I was playing I wouldn't use the L2 stuff and some of the other unrealistic stuff (except in arcade threes) but I was only taking high % shots. My shooting % was usually between 25-35% and my build was not made for shooting. Everyone has their limits to how far they want to take advantage of the game. I just knew I wasn't taking a shot from a place that had almost 0 chance to going in. EA goalies are nothing like real goalies. They really need a big update/ full redo of how goalies behave. They are just taken advantage of too easily on some shots and will make saves 100% of the time from other places. One timers went from far too easy to a little unrealistically difficult. If a buddy and I are on a 2 on 0 it almost always makes more sense to just go 1 on 1 with the goalie rather than go for a 1T. I personally think they need a real goalie/ goalie coach to get with developers and teach them what goalies do, how they behave, what's difficult for them to do.. get an idea of what a bad goalie or good goalie will do and how they will behave. I also think human goalies should get a bit of a boost and cpu goalies a bit of a reduction in ability (in WoC) so that more humans want/ try to play goalie. Also more clubs WANT a goalie. My friends and I never want to play/ have a goalie due to how awful we all are at it and how good the CPU is (when not going against a shot that has an 80% chance of scoring.
We're not aware of a way to desync the game. Desyncs can occur due to connection related issues. If you have any steps on how to force a desync, send them to me in a private message so I can let the team know.
- rsandersr473 years agoSeasoned Ace@EA_Aljo Tbh this was more of a problem in NHL 19-21. I don't know how they did it, but there were teams that nearly never lost games and when we were beating them late in the third the game wouldn't count at the end. It wouldn't give us xp or anything else. The only options would be to end game/ go back to menu. In 22 I didn't play much because I was deployed most of the year, and in 23 I've just not played because the game just feels worse and getting my friends to keep playing has just been more work than its worth. I honestly have no idea how it was done, I didn't plan to do it myself so never tried to find out how they did it. I only feel it was something they were doing because it would be a nearly undefeated team and we would be beating them (we are not super good, just a handful of friends and a couple guys I met on a deployment years ago) We had it happen in our favor once. Not sure if we did something on accident or it just randomly happened. Taking a timeout/ a bunch of penalties with less than a min left in game seemed to make it happen more often.

There was an issue a few years back, but that was resolved and we haven't been aware of a way to force disconnects since. If you hear of any ways to do this, please pass on the details. Otherwise, connection issues are normally the culprit.
- rsandersr473 years agoSeasoned Ace@EA_Aljo Yeah If I start playing again and see anything suspicious I'll rout it up.
If training camp is ever brought back I would suggest giving players the option to play with a RH and a LH player. Before you used Crosby but if my friend wanted to play as a RH I would have to go to practice to show them the differences. Living in small town Ohio hockey was NOT popular. So teaching them about forehand and backhand shots and diff stuff took time. That being said I would also add some videos on even the most basic things like that for people who don't know the first thing about hockey. I think the training camp mode did do a good job, and having video recommendations built into modes like BAP helped me when I first started playing. - EA_Aljo3 years ago

Thanks for the feedback on this. Hopefully, we'll see the training camp return in the future. I was kinda surprised at how many requests we got for it.
