I preorder the x-factor edition from PS4 store and it downloaded and connected to the internet but still wont connect to EA servers and I have restarted router, console, game and still won't work what do I do?
Figured it out - there was a bug with my EA play trial even though I preordered the game. I cancelled my EA play subscription and game was able to connect to EA servers. Don’t know how or why this happened though.
Same thing here on Xbox One Series S. Got the X-Factor edition, wifi is completely fine and I can play any other EA game, but NHL 23 won’t let me connect to EA servers. Shouldn’t be happening when we pre order the game to get a couple days early to play it.

I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
Unfortunately did nothing for me. I’m able to connect to EA servers on NHL 22 but for 23 I keep getting the “Network Connection Issue” every login. My wifi is wired and is IPv6 5G so that’s not the issue.

Still not working for me and did both. Also tried cancelling my EA Play subscription and still didn't work. But still can use NHL 22

Try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 23. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System storage/Saved Data. Locate NHL 23 and delete the saved data.
