EA's approach when it comes to coaches in Franchise mode is just a bad one...
Instead of having coaches running specific strategies, locking us out as a GM in the way WE want to run things, they should've have approached it just like they did for the players; with each coach having a set of ratings (ie. 80 Behind the Net, 70 Overload, 60 Crash the Net, etc...) and now, it's up to you as a GM to say "look, I want this line to play that way...and I'm gonna find the best coach for that". From there, coaches ratings could affect chemistry (ie. a coach with 100 rating in a specific strategy could top the chemistry bonus to a +5, 90 tops it at a +4,, 80 at a +3, and so on...). Now you have a valid coach input in the game, you allow GM to run things the way they want (edit strategy to their liking), and everybody's happy.
