Posting this again since we have no information about it, which likely means we are STILL LOCKED OUT from editing players during a franchise.. and even then we can only edit very basic things…Copy paste;“I think this warrants it’s own thread topic.. we want the edit players function to be unlocked for us.. and not just the basics but everything unlocked please. It makes no sense why it was removed. It would allow us to fix the generated prospects because their attributes, position and play style are always so chaotic. you get a prospect that is a sniper.. centre, who’s 6’6, 235lbs, with high body checking, aggressiveness, def awareness, strength stats.. but low off awareness, skating, puck skills, face offs.. this clearly should be a grinder and winger but we can’t change it..and for the players that are into super realism.. young NHL players grow.. some might still grow an inch.. but mostly, players get beefy.. they train. They go from 6’1 175lbs to 6’1 195lbs of muscle and we can’t edit their strength attributes, or their weight so it reflects properlyand let’s not forget that EA themselves also incorrectly lists players heights/weights.. and even positions. so let us fix it. It just doesn’t make sense that the edit player was removed.. and never have got an answer from the EA letting us know why please unlock edit player and allow FULL customization at start of save file, mid season, 15 seasons in.. just fully unlock it “

This need to be fixed. And its not hard, the options are already there. Can someone with power stop being a lazy money thinking suit and let us offline players play the game as we want it.This years franchise mode changes are hilarious and scary low of amount. Did the devs for offline modes needed to help the HUT people this year? Because any good "PC Mod creator" would fix all the things we actually want in less than one month....

I saw someone answering a edit players thread with - Not being able to edit players is realistic hockey?...Yeah, its realistic that a coach never change the position of a player from left to right or a center to play at the wings?....Yeah its realistic that a player never change playstyle from a sniper to a two way player, or a two way player plays more than a grinder to have a role in a NHL team?...And yes its so realistic to just live on when EA have done a player wrong when they created them, because that happens not so often?...If the game, and especially EA original roster wasn´t so broken, and the generated players was not so broken, we wouldnt wanna use Custom shared rosters, we wouldnt wanna fix all the mistakes the guys at EA have done.To let the buyer to FULLY edit everything in the games and modes does not make the game worse, and most of the people dont wanna do it to cheat, they just wanna be able to enjoy the ONLY NHL game when they play it outside HUT and be able to fix all that actually is BROKEN in the game and EA doesnt fix that because its not affecting the amount of money they get for the game...Something is wrong in EA as a company, because Madden 23, FIFA 23 and NHL 23 have major bugs that affect offline modes (especially franchise modes) to the amount that its almost unplayable and all of those games have limited editing options.... How come?....

Even worse was when the ability to edit player equipment completely disappeared in the "next-gen version" of NHL 15. Especially with goalies, it was a pain for me

I don't even care about a full edit - I need to at least be able to send people to the wings, change which wing, etc. But you can fully edit x factors for each player, just not gamebreaking things such as their position, play style, or haircut.

I am shaken to the core. I keep thinking of a world where you could just go to a corner store and get some product that allowed you to change the color of your hair. Or maybe you have some place you could go and change your hairstyle. It's so surreal to think of such things, so unrealistic and fantastical, that I feel scarred by the thought.
