Franchise mode trading options

When fielding offers from other teams on a player you want to trade, allow the ability to retain salary. Im starting a Franchise with Chicago and look for a trade for Patrick Kane, but no one can take on his 10.5(?) contract. CPU should also be able to offer back bad contracts along with better prospects for taking on the deal.

Allow multi-team trades. Dont think this needs an explanation.

Allow users to move draft picks on rosters the way you can move players in different leagues. The Hawks have Vancouvers second next year from the Stillman trade and I have to wait until EA does a roster update until I can start my franchise because Vancouver wont accept the trade that was made last week.

Also, where do I go to delete Franchise mode files? Dont see an option to anywhere.

3 team trades are registered as such according to cap friendly, so I believe it’s thing.

Also, what you are talking about is easy, but now imagine you want Wennberg, but needed another team to first retain half his salary in order to be under the cap. There is no way to do that in the game.

That is 100% true, but technically those were two different trades. While it involved.mov8ng assess quickly, it wasn't a direct A/B/C trade. It was A trading with B and C trading with B.

A true 3 Team trade would be A gives directly to B and C. So, under that logic, you can very well do that in NHL 23.

Example: I traded my 2nd and 4th Round Draft Picks to Seattle for Wennberg, when he proved to be a bust (scouts said he was second line when he wasn't) I flipped Wennberg to Buffalo for Victor Olafson and their 4th Round Draft pick.

In the Grand Scheme of things, I essentially got Seattle to take a 2nd from me and a 4th from Buffalo, for Buffalo to get Wennberg and me to get Olafsson. Ergo, 3 team trades don't really exist. Its just wheeling and dealing by one team with assest from other teams.

Probably the most well known one recently was when Duchene got traded from Colorado. The Sens got Duchene, Nashville got Kyle Turris and Colorado got picks and prospects. They basically took both teams to the cleaners there.

And while I guess not technically 3 team trades, moves that require a 3rd team to retain salary for a draft pick have been happening a lot lately and should be something that can be done in the game.

I think they’re referring to when you put someone on the block or want to find trades. As far as I’ve seen you can’t retain there… only in the actual trade screen.

    3) They barely let us share rosters, good luck with the letting you move draft picks. LoL

    4) Go i to load Franchise, highlight the game you wanna delete and press Square or X. You should get the option to load or delete.

  • I haven't tried this year, but traditionally if  you go to load a game you can delete them from there.
