So my console is overheating , but only on nhl ?
Exactly. Bro, this game is the glitchiest game I have ever played. And I’m not even trying to play online. I can’t even get through one game without an error occurring and the game shutting down. It’s happened six times in the last 12 hours. This game sucks.

It's very possible your console is overheating. We're not getting widespread reports of NHL causing this to happen. Did you check for any debris/dust and that your console is in a well ventilated location?
Also, where is the game installed? Is it on the internal hard drive or an external one?

This happens to me constantly.
My console is clean, in a well ventilated space and is not warm. (Xbox Series S, game on internal hard drive)
This only happens on NHL 23, specifically on Franchise Mode, in the playoffs whenever I try to switch from NHL to AHL. If I try and look at the AHL schedule, change the AHL team lineup, or get a notification regarding the AHL team (ex. an injured player) the game crashes and brings me back to the Xbox home screen.
Again, not overheating, only happens on NHL 23 and no other game, and only in this specific situation. But it does crash 100% of the time in this situation
