Game Feedback- WOC

1. Can developers add Winter Classic venues into World of CHEL drop-in and club games? That would be fun!

2. Gameplay-

 a. In professional hockey games, I see pucks get tipped into the offensive zone from the neutral zone a lot. Can developers make this realistic in the game? Adding this tipping ability by pressing on the right joystick would work. Similar to tipping the puck in front of the net.

 b. I see too many pucks blocked by the goalie trickle over the goalie and into the net. This isn’t realistic. Instead, please increase the chance of the puck bouncing over the net.

 c. Drop off passes- the CPU has a difficult time converting soft passes to a user close by, even when the user commands the pass via a soft tap on the right trigger. The pass ends up being too hard and the user can’t contain it. Please update so CPU can convert short, touch passes.

 d. Strategies- the CPU movement is too robotic/by the book. Can developers add a more fluid strategy where CPU defender switches and covers the closest player on the opposing team?

  • I'd just like a new outdoor rink(s) in general considering we haven't had new rinks since they introduced them in NHL 19.

OR if anything if EA could add the ability to play at night under the lights for WOC drop in games. That would at least give a different feel. For example the canal rink was removed from drop in because people complained about the shadow on the ice. Yet we have a night version of it and all the other outdoor rinks in 3's eliminator. Also playing indoors once in a while in that community rink with no fans they removed from club would change things up a bit.

The idea of tipping the puck into the zone was something I also have been a big advocate for in the past. A simple move that can change the way you attack the zone. This mechanic could also give life back to the slap pass as it's a useless feature in the game right now.

  • @DJDude123New rinks would be great. Some more fans too. Pack it in, under the lights at Fenway Park. I’m in!

We’re on the same page about tipping the puck into the zone. Tipping it at larger, agressive angles in the zone would help the users get more creative offensively. The use of the saucer pass to convert shorter passes would be helpful too. I think the developers can sharpen the trickle effect on those passes. I do use the slap pass to keep possession around the boards in both zones. I’m best at starting breakouts using this method.

@EA_Kent- CAN YOU PLEASE ADD THE ABILITY TO CANCEL A SHOT WITH LB? After hitting the right joystick in the offensive zone, to either hit someone or try shooting a puck I don’t have full possession of, I want to cancel a shot when I end up behind the net or at a disadvantageous position when I finally possess the puck. Using LB only works well to cancel passes.

    Thanks.

    Yeah, that would be cool.
In general, it is necessary to complicate the fight on the boards, reduce the control of the puck, increase the amount of struggle for the puck.
now the puck sticks too much to the players, there is not enough fight for the puck, RS gives too much control, pushes, touches, do not lead to the separation of the puck from the stick.
Touching the board only helps control the puck, and does not force it to bounce.
therefore, throwing into the attack zone is useless, tips (if done) is useless.
There are no tools on board to fight.
There is almost no free puck in the game, it is always stuck to someone.

Throws into the zone can be made a good tool,
if the attackers are not such missiles
, there will be a normal fight on board
if the goalkeeper is not such a slow bag, compared to the players, he will be able to play behind the goal
, the puck will not always be under control
, a normal power battle on board (you do not always need a penalty, you do not need a hitting bubble)
