Getting started online

@rbee6201-1You'll need an internet connection ( obviously 🙂 ) and you'll need a PS Plus subscription.  The Essential tier is sufficient.  You can find out more about PS Plus here .  Link is to the Canadian site.  If you're elsewhere just change the URL or search for PS Plus.

Wont connect to EA. Keep getting message saying I need to reset password. Reset password several times. Also, I've read the accounts need to be linked. When I try that, I get  another error message saying account is disabled. I've never ever tried online play in the past and looks like I won't be any time soon. Quite frustrating.

That's too bad.  Can you sign into your EA account if you go here ?  Is it the same account you're PS4 is trying to connect to EA with?   You might want to try looking here to for instruction on how to link your EA and PSN accounts.

I can sign in to my EA account. I can only assume it's the same as I've only ever created one. I've followed instructions on how to link EA and PSN accounts, but when I hit the "link" button I'm told the account is disabled. 

There's not much more anybody here can do unfortunately.  You'll need to reach out to EA to find out why the account is disabled.  There's steps laid out in this thread .  I know you're not disputing a suspended account, but the steps for reaching out to EA should be the same except select 'Restore Account' or 'Account Linking' under 'Manage My Account'.

Appreciate the help/input. Don't know that I've got the stomach to pursue this any farther and from other similar posts I've read, seems like a black hole of frustration.

It sounds like you might be trying to sign in to an old account that is possibly disabled. An advisor will need to help with this. To get in touch with one, try opening a case here. Thanks!
