Goalie BAP coach hate

Ok so I’m playing BAP as an undrafted goalie (chose my team) and I’m initially the backup goalie. Ok cool. Difficulty is set to pro, 5 min periods, no sliders adjusted. 

currently I have a 14-1-1record with 6 shutouts, an 0.79gaa, a .953 save percent. Compared to my starter who has a 15-14-2 record with 1 shutout, a 2.72 gaa, and a .915 save percent. 

however the coach is CONSTANTLY on me for “not performing well enough” or “not having great starts” and otherwise basically * all over me. The only thing I can think of is my overall grade is a B / C+ due to only facing 13-15 shots per game. But this is because the teams AI forwards and defence basically just prevent shots and play the whole game in their end. I’m also ranked around 23rd In The Calder race. 

does the game not recognize the whole stat picture or is it focused on shots/saves as it’s only metrics? Why does it seem like the game literally hates goalies for BAP? I also don’t get any coach challenges during the game (vrs my forward getting 2-3 per game on the same settings) 

this is really making me not enjoy the goalie option or even BAP mode in general.
