@EA_Aljo Of course EA is not responsible for any individual’s ISP. My issue is that the game profits from its inability to level the field, without doing enough to let players know that connectivity can make a major difference in one’s rewards. Players are encouraged to buy booster packs in the hope that stronger cards will translate into more wins, and it doesn’t.
I am not great at the game, but I am good enough to notice the difference that a few ms can make in timing shots and checks. And, I’m knowledgeable enough to wonder how a team rated 15 points below mine is fast enough to be instantly on the puck, and win every race. I know I’ll lose games based on skill, and that doesn’t bother me. It’s the losses to people who are clearly benefiting from system imbalances - or just flat out cheating - that wear me down.
