I’ve noticed an issue with HDR brightness while playing World of Chel. The HDR appears to be dimming from high to low throughout a match. It will usually start on peak brightness and then rapidly dim after the puck drops at each face off. The game/ice appear more grey once it starts to dim.
I’m on PS5 and have HDR to always on. Adjusting the in-game brightness doesn’t help because it blows out the image when HDR is properly working.
This issues has been here since nhl22.. we did a post about this and we fight alot since nhl 22 release and hope they fix it but they do nothing
problem is worst on a oled tv..
temp fix is to disable HDR

I dunno if this is related, but in CHEL I had some issues one day: during outdoor 3v3 dropin EASHL game, the top of the screen had some thin horizontal lines flickering in it, and then a bit later the entire top part of the TV screen flickered into black and out of it. It was very disturbing and got me worrying that maybe my PS5 or LG OLED C1 were going bad.
Also, back in the dressing room the green smoke effect thing kept flickering in and out... So I quit playing. However, the next time I launched the game, everything worked ok, and in fact I've havent' had any graphic glitches whatsoever after that. But it got me nervous, I haven't had any issues like this with other games at all.
I can say with confidence that it’s not my OLED as I don’t recall having this issue with 22. It’s a very distracting issue as it happens throughout an entire game. You can clearly tell it’s at peak brightness before the puck drops and then quickly dims after.
Any additional insight would be appreciated.
