How EA sports has failed to connect to its NHL user base ignoring feedback
With a new NHL game being announced the same big question came into play. For over a decade NHL fans have been unable to play franchise/GM mode with online. This came as a disappointment to a large group of NHL fans asking for this feature for years now. If you've ever played other sports games besides NHL you'll notice the lack for depth and effort overall in the games development. The NHL title being the only one sports game not having an online mode to play out franchise/GM mode. This not being the only shortfall with the difference's in games modes, compare NHL to NFL or NBA be a pro/be a player modes with immersive experience's that make the game feel rewarding and exciting to get drafted and see progression in this mode. and instead your meet with the recent enhancements to be a pro being added chat boxes with decisions that make no difference nor does it add depth to the game. Sadly the focus on HUT has taken away from the game modes that are most popular from the game, a quick look at reddit and its easy to figure out this is not a popular game mode. Nor can i find players asking for HUT to be more of a focus. With each year of a new NHL game getting new HUT features and a roster update, I can't see the title attracting new fans/users while what the users want in the game falls on deaf ears.
