Can’t shoot when using hybrid controls on nhl 23 starts making me like change

Community ManagerThere is no way to customize your buttons through NHL 23. You can do this through the Xbox settings, but that will change those buttons for everything else as well. Can you get a video of this happening?
I'm stumped as to why this is occurring. What kind of controller do you have? Is it an official Xbox one?

You don't happen to play going down do you? If so, take a look at the controller settings and see if shooting controls is set to Always Up.

I really don't know what would be causing this. Is it possible to play on Skill Stick or NHL 94 controls instead? If I can think of anything else that might fix this, I'll let you know.
Sounds good I’ll try playing on skill stick but hopefully there’s a fix

I really don't think there's going to be a fix in 23 as this issue is extremely rare. We would need to be able to reproduce it in order to fix it and so far that's not possible. Hopefully, it doesn't happen in future games.
