Hybrid vs Skillstick ( dissadvantage )

Hey Guys? Is someone from EA here who actually played this game? My question is if you plan in next NHL finally solve hybrid vs skillstick problem? To be clear, why are hits with Hybrid autoaimed and stronger than with skillstick? Why with hybrid when you hit pokecheck you take a puck away from opponent but when you playskillstick player just skate through poke check with puck? And last question why are hybrid players faster than skillstick setup? Give me please normal answer, cause everyone who ever played with skillstick or hybrid knows the advantage. Thank you for answer.

  • Hey there, @M8tyka

    I just checked with the dev team to make sure. None of what you're claiming is true. There are no added assists for hybrid controls.

  • Hey,

    How good you can play this game and how long you play this game? or you are just community admin for answers HQ? Because its something known long time. I played over 3000+ hours, 5000+ games and there is literally difference betweeen skillstick and hybrid especially in hits. EA just keeps adding this auto aim in speed for hits. Try to go behind player trying to hit in speed from behind with skillstick and with hybrid. With skillstick you wont even touch player or hit him with hybrid setup you keep hitting him in short sequense. Im not asking if its in the game, it is and you know it, Im just asking if EA plan to finally balance controler setup or not...

  • Heyo, I'm not an employee but in terms of sliders I would assume hybrid is more 50/100 and offers more auto-aim. Hits aren't necessarily stronger with hybrid, I think skill stick users just hold the stick for way too long and it messes up the timing.

    I love thr amount of control you get swinging thr stick during a manual pokecheck but with mofe collision physics, more problems can unfortunately arise. That said you use your strongest auto poke that goes directly for the puck's current location using hybrid so the risk of a trip is high.

    You'll need to get video of hybrid guys outskating skillstick guys - Could have something to do with boosting but I've never heard of that one.

    @M8tyka

    I play this game almost every day. It's easily the game I spend the most time with every year. There is absolutely no assistance for hybrid controls. There is no auto aim or added speed for hits. Hitting from behind works the same with both control schemes.

    Since there is no added assist for hybrid controls, there is no balancing that needs to be done.

    I'm now going to lock this thread to help prevent the spread of misinformation. Thanks for the feedback.
