I have had enough.

I've been around this game long enough to fully comprehend exactly what's wrong with this series: many of us long time gamers have become complacent, of which leads this company to feed off of that complacency. Meaning, regardless of what hype, demo, etc., that gets instilled and/or advertised, there's always a certain demographic that'll ensure that they have a copy of the next iteration of this series. And yes, so as not to be a hypocrite, I am in that demographic. Also, and yes, it's been for quite some time. In any case, we're losing.

I have had enough. Yeah, I'm done. This isn't for show, or virtual gratification, experience points, thumbs up, and so on. Nope. This long time gamer of this series is getting tired of Chel challenges being filled with a practical clown show of "hockey bags" filled with an ever increasing cycle of what is not hockey. You people are actually making a mockery of hockey, and using this platform to diminish this great sport. I have far more Chel crap, than I do actual name or team branded hockey gear, clothing, etc. P2-35 (from launch, and this game is still hateful) 

Oh, and aside from that partial travesty, why can't I get matchmaking with not only other online players that are similar to my rank, but also matchmaking with randoms vs randoms? Once again, nope. Of course, and with this current cross-play crap, I get paired with newbies (regardless of what console), and also paired against teams that aren't random. 

Ultimately, I have had enough. This is, by far, the least amount of time that I've spent on this failing franchise, in its history, and in my gaming history. Woke trash. C'ya. End of story.

    Yeah same. I have played since NHL 94 and next year is the first one I skip. The communication to the community is atrocious. I am still pretty confident that none of the devs/ea employees that work on this game have never played a single game of hockey.

    @CapeBretonIslndr Same. I've been buying the most expensive version every year despite not playing HUT just to help this franchise out but I'm done. Theybwont lift a finger for their customers. I don't like basketball but I'll prob start playing NBA. At least they try to improve their game every year..

    Whoever programs the AI in this game should be required to wear a helmet in public for their own safety.

    Would love to be a fly on the wall as these developers sit at a round table brainstorming ideas for this game. Absolute joke EA is for just ruining the game of hockey for everyone. It’s not hockey anymore, they’re trying to attract the young squeakers more with crappy zegras moves, metallic hockey gear and mirrored visors. Bravo EA keep putting useless cosmetics in the game and continue to ruin the mechanics some more.

    @Tr0llingstoned Personally it's not even the flashy moves or gear that bug me. If diff gear attracts more people then I'm honestly for it, this game needs more people. The problem is the same bugs not being fixed for years. All the gameplay problems. How few things change year to year. How little (or rather not at all) they listen to the community. I mean the year they added the zegras there were so many forum posts saying they knew they were gonna add it but begged them to focus on gameplay and skip adding that goal until gameplay was better.. then they basically laughed in all of our faces when they announced it..

    All that being said I'm also fine with poor AI play in WoC because I think that mode should be FOR humans. Every other mode the AI needs boosted. I get the skill zoning issues in HUT but they can't be quite as dumb as they are imo haha

    I skipped this year. I cannot justify spending my hard-earned income on a franchise that clearly has lost its direction. Errors that have existed for a long time thru multiple years are a huge problem. Simming the first 2 periods causes errors in the presentation. A power play starts, they call it the first of the game, then almost immediately the commentators say they haven't scored yet or scored earlier. If you have a 2+ goal lead, the AI will never ice the puck while killing a penalty. Lazy AI defence that fails to cover their man. Bounces that seem to always go for one team.  Mistakes in uniforms and stadiums. Missing uniforms. Saving settings is almost useless for career mode, as most of the settings are not saved if you start a new mode. Franchise modes, that are a year or 2 in, have no cap space on any team, causing star players to be Free Agents because no one can afford to sign them. 

    The presentation is lacking. NHL Referees have been calling on the PA penalties. Have yet to see it in this series. I have seen glitches, where the wrong player is highlighted after a goal. Have even seen the wrong team on occasion.

    I may come back next year, but I will wait until a month or two after release. If things do not change, I may not ever come back.
