What would that be? You had the chance to change one of the core gameplay mechanics. Revamp the whole system of.. Skating? Shooting + 1 timers? Hitting + body physics ? Passes? Deking? ...

if I had two wishes, patch the fast wrap.
Fix the god mode goalies - doesn’t matter what level your team is - the goalies regardless of rating are Vezina trophy candidates.
all the pretty passing plays and one timers are gone….now it’s garbage goals and wrap arounds. Completely zero fun factor for the regular player.
basucally why I stopped playing…terrible enjoyment factor. Garbage game.

I wouldn't be wasting my one wish on this forum or with any EA game that's for sure.
I wish this game made the year-to-year improvements we saw in the 90's and early 00's. There's no passion from this development team anymore. It's all HUT focused and a constant drumbeat of "what feature can we market to get new players" rather than "what aspect of the sport can we absolutely nail in a videogame".

Great post. Remember every summer we'd all be hanging on by a moment to catch when they'd release new info? The only reason we do this now is out of pure nostalgia. The last few years have been a huge disappointment aside from the World of Chel builds being brought back to be customizable. It's been a huge disappointment lately. The game at its core is SOOOOOOOO good but they refuse to use the things that make it so good. Offline this game can play amazingly and I remember Ben said he was trying to get it so we can share tuners and play with them online with other players, but alas that obviously seems like it'll never happen.
Could you imagine LG with fair and balanced gameplay that simulated hockey? Oh my God the game would be absolutely unreal. We wouldn't have to wait on EA's tuners and patches and constantly be disappointed. The game would actually retain its player base instead of having it die off after a month online.
Oh well. It's never gonna happen.
