I have tried making a 2nd gamer tag, but it really hasn't helped. I do notice that if I delete all game data (under the manage game option from the home screen), sign out of my account, go into NHL23 not signed in, choose to not save data.......that offline feels pretty normal. I'm not sure it's anything with my particular Xbox account, but rather the signing in/save process.

To summarize, EA sells defective game and either doesn't know how to fix it or it would be too costly.
