Invite Failed
All of NHL 22 we had massive invite failed issues and glitched lobbies in world of chel. Here we are a year later and I can’t play the damn game with my friends because the invite fails every single ...
Check the network settings on your console and let me know what it says for the NAT type.
When you say this has happened to 30 people, are you talking about people you tried to invite or that tried to invite you?
I’m saying for all of NHL 22 and now so far in 23, me, and various other people have invited and been invited to hundreds maybe even thousands of lobbies. I can’t check my NAT so I will have to get that later, however I find it unlikely that the entire xbox player base has the same one. I have played with probably over 200 different players in NHL 22 and 23 and constantly we will get say 4 of 6 players in a lobby for example, and the last 2 will get invite failed. The number of guys it happens to always is different. Then we somehow get all 6 in the lobby and then a guy or 2 will be unable to ready up and everyone has to leave to reset the lobby and the problem recycles. Last night it took my group 30 minutes just to get everyone in a lobby and into the game.
Not being able to ready up in the lobby is different than not being able to invite someone. Can you give me the steps you're taking and describe what happens when the invite fails? If you have video, that would be even better.
When you check your NAT, it should either be open or moderate. Type 1 or 2 on PlayStation. If you see strict or Type 3, that could cause invites to fail.
The work around for this is for one person in the club to leave the dressing room and invite in the world of chel lobby and wait for the person to join your group then come back into the dressing room after. It's stupid this is even a thing and was in 22 and still not fixed for 23 but I don't expect much from EA
NAT type is open. Maybe I haven't explained something right? We can send all the invites we want and other players receive them all because that part is through Xbox. Once the receiving player accepts the invite the game loads up and it loads them into world of Chel but just before the lobby shows up on screen, the message Invite Failed shows up and when you click Continue (the only option) it sends you back to the main menu. This also occurs when you attempt to join off of someone as in going to their player profile and hitting "Join Game".
And I know the other issues are separate, but they all start with this invite failed thing. This happens, and then we finally get 6 players in a lobby and then all of the other problems start happening and it makes trying to play EASHL unbearable because it takes 30-45 minutes just to get everyone in a working lobby to search for a game.
Thanks for all the feedback. I've reported this to the team and will provide an update when I have one.
Also, next time this happens, try the following. Have everyone leave and return to the dressing room. Then, invite the player that was having this issue. Let me know if that helps or not.

This has also happened to me, when you go to select a loadout, sometimes you can't get out of the loadout selection, the only way to get around it is click the LS to select a different mode, then go back to the lobby you were in before. This was also more common in 22, but it's still in 23, my NAT is open (always has been).
I've also had the faceoff loop again when going into drop-ins, it usually happens the first time getting into a drop-in game.
Not sure if this has been brought up, but when someone scores a goal, the replay that shows your zone ability is all pixelated and you can barely read what it says.. (how that got past the testing on release is beyond me).
I also am playing on the Xbox one version of the game.
