We're definitely not ok with how upset the community is. We're investigating various issues reported here, but that takes time. It's not the overnight process everyone is expecting.

Thank you for replying. I gave on Madden. I don't want to give up on NHL too. The game isn't bad at all, just needs a little fixing. I was getting worried that you guys weren't listening. I'll be patient now, seeing that you are hearing us about the issues. Nothing is ever perfect, but it's the work put into making the effort to improve that does make the difference. Thank you for that.

Don’t expect it to be an overnight process but the fact this game has so many issues at launch is kinda trouble some. It is very frustrating. Maybe when you release the cross platform update maybe all these bugs will be fixed

- RelentlessJ693 years agoNew HotshotThe only issues I have with this game and the gameplay is the stick lift being an automatic penalty, and the goalies giving up the same awful goal, it seems like either close quarters is WAY too overpowering or the new glitch goal is just skating in, make no move and put it in the net with a weak shot.

@RelentlessJ69 Nah the goalies are terrible as always. Back in 94, if you skated behind the net, the apposing team players would crowd the goalie and push him out of position... Easy score 100% of the time.
Guess what whats in NHL 23, some 30 years later. Yup... I can backhand in a goal every time after stating around the net and watching the other team crowd the goalie, only now I get praised for "Finding the opening on a screened net."

It's hard to believe you when the dev gave interviews like this

Q: Are there any changes or improvements planned for post-launch as a live service update?
Clement Kwong: Aside from cross platform matchmaking coming in November we don’t have major feature updates coming your way. We will be fully focused on delivering on NHL 24.
Here is Clement Kwong telling us there are no major feature updates coming our way. So, we've legit got the Lead Developer telling us there us no new content coming, and they are focused on clicking copy and paste to NHL 24... So, how do we believe a forum mod who calls us all toxic?

They do this every year.. the fact this game just came out and he's pretty much saying, "November is the only big update we're gonna have, then chances are nothing is gonna change gameplay wise" every year this series gets hardly updated during the years, and their response is always the same, "we hear is we'll relay the message" but the issues remain all year, then once it gets closer to the next game coming out it's, "sorry we don't know anything, wait until official announcements for next year's game..."

They promised a lot in articles and advertisements, but didn't hold what they promised. See article about player likenesses. https://www.sportsgamersonline.com/games/hockey/nhl-22-player-likeness-updates/
