As you can see the puck is sitting there. I'm being interfered with, which no call was made. My stick warps around my players body, I accidently press the stick lift button but nowhere near was this a slash! Instead I get the penalty for it... How has this not been fixed yet? It's getting to the point where we deserve better as customers. This isn't fair to us who paid for a broken game...
- @BIGRlTCHY picked up the game after weeks of not playing, and it's just astonishing how worse gameplay gets after release. Here I thought developers were supposed to improve on gameplay. The mechanics of the game down to its core are just a mess and they focus on unwanted additions like 2nd chance crap. Gotta give it up for my sanity.
Playing HUT rivals just to get ragged in 3 v 3 is a joke! Whoever thought of the idea to screw with rivals really made the wrong decision! I paid full price for this game, and to be a customer this is upsetting! GWC is on its way and the gameplay is horrendous! The poor dev team dealing with the overwhelmingness has got to be tough on them... It;'s time to wakeup and smell the coffee because like many I myself am done with this! I can no longer support a company who no longer puts effort into fixing their broken product! This is bad business etiquette! HUT community has pleaded for rivals to not go 3 v 3 and what happens? It gets ignored for some reason!
After 3 months the offline modes are still broken, with numerous videos showing gameplay bugs! I myself have sent 11 so far that were game breaking! EA Sports needs to bring more help for the Devs at EA NHL. This isn't fair to them nor the customers! It feels like a slap to the face! I tried to make the best out of the outcome, but this is too much! Game is unplayable for the most part which makes me less motivated to play! I could be doing better things instead of waste my time with the issues that pertain in this sorry excuse of a AAA game...
How long can this go for until EA NHL kicks the bucket? it's getting to that point! Unless real changes are made, we are in for year after year of disappointment!

The reason your posts are getting merged into one thread is because they most always say the same thing. You say the game is unplayable and you're done with it. You also make the same reports about gameplay. Having them all in one place makes it easy for the dev team to see which issues you're reporting. Rather than having them get buried when it's just one post.
Maybe people are just tired of seeing the same broken game year in, year out. I know you're just the messenger, but there have been legit concerns on the path this game has been going for some time.
I joined a friend's squad to play and had to play through this crap because the developers don't know, or don't care, about ways to combat the rampart trolling in their games. I'm not even going to say how long it took to get through this slog, only for the only team to purposely glitch the game out at the end, so it wouldn't count. It's been going for as long as I can remember years prior.
Throw in the lack of tuners and real issues that need to be addressed as we're heading into the new year, and there shouldn't be any wonder why there are so many complains.
Playing HUT and I was up... I made some good hockey plays, earning my goals. I poke check in the O-zone just for it to bounce. As I tried to intercept I missed which I took fault on. Opponent gets it. Passes to his teammate which is over the blueline before the puck crosses but offside wasn't called. I then know he is going for the wrap and since I couldn't switch my player on time I tried to control my RD to swing left side but LD gets in my way. Goalie has his left pad inside the net at an angle aside from covering the post like a goalie in IRL would. I lost this game because all he did was sit behind my net, wait for the AI D to bite, leaving my human Defenseman alone since the forwards are high up not helping. If I player switch to them my human controlled D turns to AI and leaves position to attack... GWC isn't far away and I would hate for this to make 99% of the competitors rage off this game over it. It's January almost!
As a consumer it bothers me to see us be given such a poor product! I consistently deal with certain game breaking bugs in this game. I could upload over 50 videos by now showing how poorly cared for this game was in the production standard. I don't put any blame on the Devs, it all goes on EA as a company who are failing there customers in not just NHL Series but others also.
GWC isn't far away and these issues are still plaguing the game, which could easily decide the games in the tournament. We complain not because we want to! It's because we are sick of seeing disappointment year after year! This game caters to the toxic E-sports kids who LT and exploit there way to victory! Ever play competitive hockey IRL? This stuff would never happen! If you LT like a clown there should be a speed penalty with puck control loss. I also don't get why self-sauce is in the game! I can defend it but it does throw the AI off of position...
The fact QOL content lacks and gameplay is turning into a pitiful mess! Maybe it's time to fix this game! No reason why we are in January without a gameplay update! Postpone NHL 24 if fixing NHL 23 is an issue! No need for this! I'm sick of supporting the carelessness of the HQ members at EA Sports. The Devs are already just as frustrated, same with the gamechangers and top streamers! Lets friggin do something!!! Enough of this mickey-mouse arcade BS!
@BIGRlTCHYThey had pretty much stated they were going to be hard at work early on NHL 24. Postponing isn't an option because they don't want you on NHL 23 when they want you buying the new version with a couple new features/changes.
Things aren't going to change in the ways people on these forums want. The game is going to push features like full crossplay ability, 120fps mode, and yes PC becoming a thing. Stick lifts will work in NHL 24 better
Played a game in GWC week 2. My opponent kept running my players without a penalty! He took more than 3 steps into the hit but no charging call made! Then before I can get to the puck he interferes me! How does EA NHL not know simple hockey? Even the AI is painful to watch when trying to make a pass. I go back to my defense to setup a play since I'm skillzoned... My wingers sit up high by the o-zone blueline instead of being in close support like the strategy I have set! Weak side winger has no business being at the blueline... Watch an NHL or Junior game and you will see how bad the positioning in NHL 23 is... Now the faceoffs on the penalty kill or PP drive me nuts! I have my centermen set for center! Why are my wingers doing the faceoff instead?
I'm just getting so sick and tired of EA not doing a thing to fix this game! It was $120 plus tax for this? You got to be kidding me! Anyways It's come to a point where this game isn't worth the time anymore, nor is EA NHL! Too bad they ruined a good thing! 23 might be my last unless NHL 24 knocks it out of the park! This game though is already at it's end of quality! Good luck on getting more customers because surely nobody is interested in buying a broken product!
I wish Ben was still working on the game! HIs response when I talked to him recently discussed he has moved on! Maybe us consumers at EA NHL should do the same! Sadly this is the only hockey game with NHL licenses. If competition was around maybe things would be different! I have played hockey IRL and still do to this day! Many uncles/cousins who have played junior to pro. This isn't hockey anymore! It's a clown festival made for trendy tik tok competitors! I surely give up on it!
- @BIGRlTCHY All EA cares about is money. Their care for quality left when littman did tbh. I've met certain people in charge there and let's just say this person imo is too stubborn and egotistical to be in charge of what he is. The management of this franchise is horrible from the ground up. Maybe it's time to mobilize together to be heard louder on all platforms. Doubt it'll work though. Read any reviews or anytime ea posts on Twitter etc. There's NO POSITIVE FEEDBACK like they claim. It's all negative. I still wanna see where they get these positive posts from cus I never see them, and never get an answer on it because its simply not true. If there was ANY other NHL licensed franchise out there, no matter how bad, I'd support that game instead on principle alone of not giving EA another dime. EA DOES NOT DESERVE OUR SUPPORT OR MONEY ANYMORE.
