If you slow it down you see the RW forcing the pass across to someone covered by 2 guys, the puck goes thru the RD whos guy actually looks down at the puck and doesnt do any pickup or knock away.
I didn't realize the LD was human controlled. My bad there. I thought this was a complaint about AI defenders letting the puck through. In this case, the LD could have defended it. It would be good to see the RD play this better, but there also isn't a lot of reaction time available with a pass that close so that could play a role in this.

The reaction time for the user controlled defender was about the same as the reaction time for the offensive player receiving the pass, so sorry, but that's not a good explanation. And also, the reception was at much more of an awkward angle for the puck receiver than for the defender.
It's obvious that offensive players play by different (way more forgiving) rules for puck pickups, receptions, etc. than defensive players. I'm not sure why you guys can't admit to that and instead choose to blame the user when it obviously isn't his fault. The user to blame should be the offensive player for forcing a pass to a covered player.
