I fixed it. I think the error is showing up when someone else has the team name you enter. I entered extra letters and error went away. Hope this helps fellas.
Community ManagerThanks for trying. Next, clear the alternate MAC address with these steps:
Go to your Xbox Settings
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

Community ManagerAsk him to try connecting his console to a mobile hotspot and try creating the team. Then, have him switch back to the normal connection.
the hot spot did not work either, he has tried his xbox x on my wifi, his wifi and his hotspot, as well as signing into his xbox account on my xbox x and still cannot create a team without getting the error
Community ManagerThis is really strange. Can you try factory resetting your Xbox? I'm really not sure what else to suggest as so far, most everyone has resolved this with using a different team name.
the factory reset worked! We used the same team name as we tried before when the error kept coming up so im not sure what was causing it but it has been resolved, thank you so much
