NHL 23 patch update 9-26-2023 - 3.9GB

It’s also been out since yesterday, and NOTHING from EA ? That’s really strange ?

@PernellKarl027I downloaded the patch, but cant say anything about. At the moment no new roster, last from May 18th. About the gameplay, new jerseys and more cant say anything. Don't think its a connection and server patch, cause therefore the patch is to large. Maybe they mixed something and it was for NHL 24 ? 😁 oh my god plz give me the current roster for NHL 24 in 23. 😃

The only thing that would make some kind of sense, it would be that 24 would be delayed for a good period of time 🤔

Just the fact that there’s a patch right now is mind boggling…

And 3.9GB is really not that big nowadays for an update.

I mean, if all of the things said in that article from that site would be true, I believe that 3.9 GB wouldn’t even cover half of it IMO and also that would surely mean that 24 is delayed big time….

What did you see from what you’ve dowloaded ? Cause I sure don’t want to download this right now, that’s for sure….

Some things would be evident, like they said that the graphics, crowds, stadiums, atmosphere were updated. Let me know 🤔 Thanks !

I have heard nothing about a delay. Let's not start spreading that rumor. I don't see any reason why there would be a delay this close to release. Everything is still a go for the planned Oct. 6th launch.

Is it only a patch to put banners and adds for 24 ?

You guys really might want to slow your roll.  Those "patch notes" read like somebody asked ChatGPT to generate a patch review with no input as to what is actually in the patch.

 It's a small patch released just days before the game's replacement come out.  It would be beyond shocking if there was anything other than a small, cosmetic change in there let alone major gameplay changes.

That said, I continue to find it baffling that a major AAA company like EA puts out patches without telling anyone what's in them.

The main reason I’m freaking out, it’s that you don’t know all the work I’ve put in 23 on rosters and tweaks… Yeah, I’m a bit jumping the gun and very worried, especially when even EA themselves don’t even seem to know about it or what it does actually….

That last part is what is the most baffling right now. Not gonna lie…

Not yet, but I can confirm that article is not accurate at all.

Various bug fixes, tuning, and improvements.

If I can get any more details, I'll pass them on.

You know I respect you and the work you do here, but man, this answer is like saying, "we fixed you a drink and please don’t ask what we put in it…. Just drink it !"

I mean the people at EA surely must know what they fixed ? What bugs ? What tuning ? Improvements ?

Ive worked a whole year on 23, would really appreciate if I knew what’s in my drink…. Thanks !

@PernellKarl027100% This isn't Ajlo or any CM's fault at all. I feel bad the company finds a way to undermine their roles, again. But, EA Vancouver not being transparent about what's in their largest patch in months, posted out of the blue a week before their game's next launch does not sit well with me.

@RatedxPGxEnigmaThe gameplay doesn't matter to me, maybe 5%. NHL 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 or 24 I take them all for gameplay cause more or lesser the same. I adjust them with sliders so every game for me is playable. Not intrested in online gaming and this will not change.

Believe me buddy that I’m not blaming Aljo one bit in all of this. I actually feel for him… He’s the main CM over here and he’s caught between a rock and a hard place. EA deploys a patch that he’s not even aware of and he discovers this after the fact like we all did, and to top it off, they don’t even have the decency to tell him what was in that patch…

Just tell them it’s "Various bug fixes, tuning, and improvements"

There’s no WAY I’m installing this patch without knowing what it actually does. I just know that at one point, I will have to, because if I wanna put out my latest roster, I will need to go online 😳

@PernellKarl027  I seriously hope for you, me and all others using your great slider set, that this strange patch would not affect your immense work.
