What happens when the bug occurs? unable to play the game as the ghost controller is locked to your team in franchise mode on NHL 23

Ghost controller issue with EA games makes NHL unplayable on the XBOX app and Xbox support stated they have tried to contact you to fix the issue as it only happens with EA games
why was my thread combined with this one as well??? someone took the time to read it didn't reply adds my thread to a thread about a separate bug that has nothing to do with mine, just causes the same effect
to make things clear u currently have two bugs causing ghost controllers, the one where if u just go afk and your controller turns off and the one if u just use the xbox app u get one, I currently have 3 ghost controllers from the multiple different bugs
@MegaBeef1200I had this exact same issue, then I tried putting my xbox on standby mode instead of shutdown mode in the energy saving setting, and installed the xbox console companion for windows (didn't even know it existed!) and now I no longer get phantom controllers when my main controller shuts down or goes idle
I have 2 phantom controllers and mine didn't disconnect. I can't play anything.
Community ManagerDo you have anything plugged in to the USB ports? Possibly a headset or a dongle/receiver for a headset. If so, try unplugging them. Also, if you plug in your controller, does it then work? When I have this happen, I can plug in my controller, let it show up as being connected and then unplug it and I'm able to play.
