Nhl 23 ps5 vs. ps4

Is there a big difference from the nhl 23 for ps5 vs. ps4?  I can’t create an ahl team if I do an expansion team on the ps5 version of the game.  Is this the case for the ps4 version?  I’m thinking of ditching the ps5 version for the ps4
