Many devs from other games have constant and open communication with their customers. We're not asking EA to give us a date when things will be fixed, we're asking them to acknowledge our issues and let us know that they WILL be addressed. The silence from EA speaks volumes and we're left here sitting in the dark thinking that they either don't care or are fine with the current state of the game.
Is it against company policy to communicate what's actively being worked on? As a long time customer that's bought EVERY NHL game since 92, I'm very frustrated. I know that I'm not the only one

Major changes to gameplay have never been implemented this late into an NHL game's life to my knowledge - history has shown we will most likely have to wait for the next title to hopefully see those kinds of changes.
I made a similar kind of thread a while ago as well (shameless plug: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-News/My-Issues-With-NHL-23-Video-Series/m-p/11949099#M2415). The team has definitely been made aware of our feedback. From all my conversations, I know the CM's care a great deal though I firmly believe Ben is more than fine with the state of the game.
I wouldn't say it's strictly forbidden to discuss the game with the community at all but there is definitely something with NHL specifically that prevents them from being too open about current/future plans - They are only allowed to talk about officially announced things, unfortunately.
