On this post, I agree with fixing AI, disagree with permanent auto back skate. I also added my own suggestions to game modes below. I love the improvements made to the gameplay year over year. 

LT back skate: Users should always be able to control when they want their player to perform a job. In this case, back skate by pressing LT to beat their opponent to a spot.

Fixing AI: AI movements will always be a work in progress. On defense and in transition offense, instead of AI skating to their designated positional spot, I’d like to see them make the sensical decision. On defense, they could switch to cover the nearest defender. In transition offense, they could take the pathway skating toward to goal that creates space and opens up passing lanes.

THIS IS WHY WE PLAY: Users play to have fun, with and without friends. The ultimate goal in each game mode is to play for a Stanley Cup and get rewards. Every game mode should allow users a chance to play with friends, play for a Stanley Cup, and earn rewards along the way. 

There are pros (+) and * (-) in each game mode. Can developers update the game to add pros and remove * in each game mode? In online versus, I can play with friends online (+), with real teams and players at their pro levels (+) in sold out stadiums (+) but we get no rewards (-). In HUT, users can play with real players in real stadiums (+), get rewards (+), but you can’t play with friends online on the same team (-), and you don’t play for a Stanley Cup (-). I suggest developers update this mode to be more like the Madden MY TEAM game mode where users play a certain number of games in a season, make the playoffs if their record is good enough, then play for a Stanley Cup. In WOC, users can play online with friends (+), get rewards (+), but users can’t play for a Stanley Cup (-), and can’t play in sold out stadiums (-). In this mode, I suggest the ability for users to apply their load outs to all players on the ice so AI isn’t just a generic prototype. 

Users want to earn rewards easily to upgrade their players and player attributes, most importantly. Please make it easier for players to do so. I suggest looking at the way NBA 2K does this in their MY TEAM game mode. 

The atmosphere makes the game more exciting. Playing in Madison Square Garden with a sold out crowd is electric. The atmosphere in WOC is sad. There are barely any fans and you can’t play in stadiums. Can developers change this to make the WOC mode more exciting to play?
