NHL 24 Franchise Wishlist
Since NHL 23's Franchise did a fantastic job of listening to the communities wants, I'll bite the bullet and start the list for next year Some of this stuff could be in the game this year, but I wou...
Forgot these ones
What? They did an excellent job? Have you actually played the game or are you going off of the promotional videos?
They also removed most of the presentation, the new on ice light shows and national anthems rarely trigger, and they took away the ability to edit strategies (while adding new strategies and giving online players the ability to save them for quicker play). This was all intentional and not a bug.

I took that as sarcasm
An excellent job?
I literally ONLY play franchise mode, and have hundreds of hours logged but his point. (March 21)
It's bare, dry, boring.
Sim scoring is extremely broken, rosters are beyond outdated (player values), trading is bland, free agency is bland, expansion draft is bland, scouting needs a complete overhaul... etc etc
Cool, they added custom leagues, something that should have been in the game when they made the switch to the last generation of consoles.
Franchise mode has needed a complete overhaul for quite some time now. It's just a re-skin every year with one or two new (easy to implement) features to make consumers think they care about it.
Let's be completely for real right now.
I'm hoping for the return of replay on pause and game start. + more graphics info. E.g. Player has a point streak (show that he scored in xy games). And more info from the last game. Look at the player and show that he had for example 0g + 0a 3sho 2 hits against the last opponent. Just what happens on TV. It could also show scores from other matches.
I really hope that the scoreboard will return to the top left corner (or at least the option to turn it on).
This is also related to the change of the current graphic presentation, which is too childish for me. It would be nice to have something realistic.
In my career, I'd like to be able to see the stats from a game in retrospect. Right now, you can only see the scores on the calendar. (plus the ability to look at other games) like 2ksports has in NHL2K or NBA2K.
Option to set up multiple lineup styles after the faceoff. Like the exact position where the players will stand. There are so many variations of shots after the faceoff in the NHL today.
Better AI logic when playing in the last minutes. Taking a Time-Out and building a team on the face-off in the offensive zone from players who are valid. Now it happens that on the last faceoff, maybe the third line comes in. So the biggest aces sit on the bench.
Home team advantage in substitutions. Just like in real life. The home team would be the second team to substitute.
Related to this would be that it would be possible to set up different strategies e.g. that the AI would play 3 lines on the 1st line etc...
Having the % option to set how each line will play time. Something like in EastsideHockeyManager
In franchise mode link ECHL teams. It now happens that even if a player falls under an NHL organization and is in the ECHL he is not in the game. Example. TOMAS VOMACKA #37 of NASHVILLE was in the ECHL and could not be called up to the first team. I'm sure there are more cases.
Add to franchise mode the ability to control the national team at least for the world championship.
Another important thing for me is the incomprehensible inability to choose the style of the arena during international matches. I want to play on a narrow rink. (Or better give me option to select concrete stadium).
At international tournaments, I have the opportunity to select players for the national team even for teams I don't play for. Something similar to what FIFA has in their setup. Now when I want to do an international tournament, I have to click everything through transfers - not very convenient. Not to mention that it creates duplicate players.
It would be the same for teams. Example, I choose Canada and only Canadian players will be used to make a team.
Possibility of injury to the goalkeeper even while playing the game. (NOT JUST SIMULATION). It doesn't have to be during the game, but after the game. Now that people like me who play the whole season have to make up reasons to rotate more than two goalies.
I apologize for my English, but I hope most things are clear. Thank you for your patience.
