I always find it funny how the EA mods will pin the NHL FM wish list… but then NEVER even look at it and implement any suggestions into the game…

Also, give us the ability to edit players preferences. Having it random when you play franchise is just dumb; a player like Caufield being penalized for a coach that has a 'shoot' or 'carry' bias, because randomness has him as a 'dump' and 'cycle' guy. I shouldn't have to restart a franchise multiple times to have these things 'kinda' make sense, at least for the best players on the team.
- Appropriate skin color for generated prospects. The number of black Russians and Finnish players we have is not at all realistic
- Expanded universe. I'd love to see other leagues standings, see which players dominate there and have to ability to sign them. Also, it would be nice to see if there are generational prospects coming a few years in the future in those leagues.
- Integration of the ECHL as farm teams.
- Sliders to decide the % of prospects you want from every country. With the custom leagues that they added, you can create historical leagues but let's say that you create the NHL in the 1950s, it doesn't make sense to have Russian players there.
- World Junior Championship during to season
- Ability to decrease the accuracy of player potential in the draft. Personally, I hate it that we can know that certain player are confirmed low elite for example because of the four bars, even with fog of war on. I wish that the real potential of a player could only be known with certainty two or three years after they are drafted.

- Better tracking of your franchise history. Like many of you, I still use an excel sheet to enter data for my seasons: trophies, seasons best scorers, trades, retirements, etc. Still don't understand why this is not already in the game but would be very nice to have it.
- Have the ability to go beyond 25 years in franchise
- Being able to switch teams during Franchise Mode and not only manage one single team.
- Bring back Winter Classics. Having one game a season outside makes it more fun. That or All Star Game.
- The X factor chemistry is so broken. Would be much better if some players just liked other players, like in the coaching staff. So it should be more like “If player X prefers line 1 he performs much better on that line”. Now you can put a 78 OVR with lots of X factors on the top line and play like a 83 OVR - only because of a zone ability.
- As mentioned earlier in this post, it’s insane how you can’t track your progress in Franchise Mode. How many cups? Well if you go beyond season 26/27you can’t see who won in 22/23. Like really?
- There are lots of prospects “similar to Gretzky” but no a single one like Crosby, McDavid, Ovechkin etc. You’d think players are more similar to active players than someone at his best in the 80’s. And does it even matter? Or is it just fun to compare?
It’d be interesting if these players actually had like the same attributes / similar attributes so they actually played like them.
