NHL 24
1. Story mode to be a pro 2. Please add GM Connected or an online franchise mode 3. More realistic gameplay like goaltending and their animations, players, how they shoot, how they play, and how ...
Hi there, @lukisdaman
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
What glitches and bugs would you like to see fixed?
How would you make the game more sim and less arcade?
@EA_Aljo How would you make the game more sim and less arcade?
1) I would suggest adding a penalty for hit the goalkeeper. I played NHL 16 Legacy Edition on PS3 or Xbox360 and there the goaltender was knocked over by the players, and now the goaltender is a rock that can't be moved.
Here is a Youtube link with an example
True, they didn’t give the penalty in the video, but as far as I remember, they should.
2) It would also be nice to make sure that the puck does not stick to the stick, because of this, players can rush from one goal to another and score a goal. In realistic hockey, if this happens, it is rare and only by skillful people like Conor McDavid.
Hey there, @par_metra
Thanks for the feedback. It's always appreciated.
Personally, I'm not a fan of being able to knock over goalies. I just don't think it adds much to the game and would cause more stoppages. I certainly wouldn't mind it for offline modes though.
Can you give me some more details on the end to end goals you think should be more rare? You mention the puck being stuck to the stick, but I think most any pro player is capable of carrying the puck from one end to the other and obviously, more skilled players are going to have a higher chance at scoring. This also normally happens with bad defense. Someone good at defending is probably not going to give up too many opportunities for these. Unless you're talking about the abuse of backskating and spinning using LT/L2. In that case, I'm in agreement and would like to see the puck be more loose and harder to keep control of when pivoting with energy draining at a faster rate due to the constant pivoting.
@EA_Aljo Unless you're talking about the abuse of backskating and spinning using LT/L2.
Yes, including the use of L2/LT. This trick is very commonly used. Maybe it would be good to nerf this move.
You know what happens in some online MOBA games - if some item or hero is too imbalanced, they will be nerfed in the next patch so that the balance is maintained throughout the game. Also, I think it's worth doing some tricks like L2/LT.
As for knocking down the goalkeeper, it's more like adding a touch of realism to the game. We know that in real life, if a player runs into a goalkeeper, they will fall onto the ice. Of course, the NHL game series is geared more towards the competitive style, where there is not always room for realism.
But here, in the next thread, I suggested a couple more options for adding realism. Please check it out and tell me what you think.
