I used to play BAP consistently since it was first introduced all the way until NHL 21. Then the decision to bring in story lines like how Live The Life was ruined the game mode as we lost content such as Junior/AHL full seasons. this might as well be called Be A Superstar instead of Be A Pro. For 2 years many of us BAP gamers wanted this back! Last November me and HDR preached about how bland this game mode is. I'm so confused as to why this wasn't addressed to the BAP production team. This was the deal breaker to whether I buy the game or not. Since NHL 15n this will be the last time I buy an EA NHL game. I get the work on NHL 24 needs to be done but how are people going to be interested in next year's game if this is what we get for a AAA price? Just very disappointed in the direction of this game mode, along others.

This is upsetting. Looks like i'll just be creating my pro and playing with him in Franchise mode..I am not about to sit through the stupid conversations and idiotic GM's of BAP for another year.

@BIGRlTCHY You are 100% correct. While the upgrades they did we're cool, it does feel like you are being robbed of the AHL experience.Not to mention the really bad commentary. I'm playing game 25 in my first year, and they are talking about Sophomore Slumps.The coach asked me to up the pressure with 2 minutes in the game. Then called a line change and I never went back on... Failed.Got a Hat Trick, plus 3 hits and an assist, and the commentators are trying to tell me the coach is complaining about the team's lack luster performance, this far....Game 32, I'm all of a sudden the Captain... poor Jack Eichel...I want to play as a first round draft pick, who goes to the AHL and rises to the level of pro, start on line 3 or 4, earn line 2, make line 1, be come an alternate captain, then a captain...Also, I was taken 1st in the draft, but Dailey was drafted second and he's got a zone ability and 5 x-factors... Me I can't earn 2 in my first year.... How is that rigjt?

No BAP news/changes is a huge upset!

@BIGRlTCHY Yup Be a Pro is literally unchanged (personally I am now counting a couple more X factors and strategies updates) so it’s literally the same game since nhl 21… only difference is they’ve added X factors to the entire game so naturally Be a Pro got them… otherwise untouched… very sad

Honestly I'm not sure whey they created a BAP thread for '23. Could just use the '22 threads.

At this point they might as well just dump BAP all together. Make player lock happen in Franchise. BAP is literally a slap in the face

I can't say I'm surprised that they put zero effort into BaP, but I'm still seriously disappointed. It's the mode I want to play the most and instead of improving it, they've made it much worse. No minors, ridiculous amounts of unskippable tedious interviews and team-mate interactions. Nothing even new at all this year other than some X-factor garbage that probably took 5 minutes to code. Looks like most of us have given up on this mode at this point as well, seeing as there aren't very many posts in this forum.

@Archatius Yeah I am pretty certain that offline players avoided preordering… it’s usually the HUT grinders that preorder so they can start dishing out cash for the loot boxes to get a high rated team… it usually doesn’t make sense for offline players to preorder… especially since they hardly ever even update or touch the offline modes…

Lots of offline players are avoiding NHL 23 since there isn’t much that it offers… sad but true

@ccleme20 @Or, you know, don't buy the game and do that in last year's game. Literally, unless you are doing Custome Leagues or really want to pick the next person to get the Stanley Cup, there is no difference
