Not gaining xp chel

So I had no issues in November playing chel. Well other than the atrocious lag that somehow is still apparent in 2023. 

But I tried playing multiple games modes other than am pro and I am not gaining any XP for my Chel player. Doesn’t matter if I win, lose or somebody disconnects. My character has still been at level 20 all day. It’s immensely frustrating when I can only find a minimal amount of games and I want to finish the online since you are on a hot streak for closing down servers. 

I need some solutions to this. Cause I can’t spend another day rebooting, deleting and redownloading games because your stuff has issues consistently. 

I am using EA Play to Access NHL 23 PS5. (If that helps). I also had a bunch of errors this afternoon but I didn’t write them down so I don’t know the stupid 45 letter/number combo.

  • @Leigrez having the same issues on series x. not gaining any xp after playing the game. have seen that this happens when a new season comes out but the game is a year old with no new season and even if there was, why cant you earn xp during the start of a new season?

    very frustrating as well since the few games you can find, you cant even gain progress for.

    Yeah. @iCamReborn i hope it’s something that will be fixed in the next couple days. Cause I really wanna put this behind me. 

  • Whenever I log on, at the top left of my screen it tells me there is an event going on, and during this "event" , i do not get any xp for any games won. When i played a couple months back, that event thing never showed up and i was gaining xp as normal. 

    I dont know if this "event" is causing it or not but please give us the xp we deserve for playing the game. Just makes it less enjoyable to get a win and not get any level up rewards or the ability to hit level 50. 

  • @Leigrez i made a post as well, but ever since ive seen this "event" pop up on the top left of the screen after you load into threes or ones eliminator, you see this event countdown and ive even waited for it to go to 0 just for it to restart again with 23 hours.

    Well I just loaded up today and got the same error code as previously… (or well I assume it is) 5BD31DA2751D9735-0000000000009999-C5813BE8145A3D65 … also I can’t believe I was close with saying it was like 45 digits, when its actually 48. 

    @iCamReborn I dont think I’ve noticed the “event” pop up … gonna try right now and see if it’s fixed.

    **EDIT** It is still not giving XP… won a match in threes eliminator drop ins and I now see the event banner you mentioned, 16 hrs left it says. @EA where is the customer support?! This is ridiculous!!!

    Hello, @Leigrez 

    There are no further updates coming for NHL 23 so we'll try troubleshooting this. Try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 23. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 23 and delete the saved data.

    That does nothing. It’s something that happened on your end. Single player data doesn’t affect gaining xp in an online mode. 

    it seems as if right now I was able to connect and gain xp for a match. So I’m hoping it continues to work. But I never changed anything nor did I redownload the game again. 

    Also it’s not a possibility that I could lose my saved games if I delete personal data. It’s a certainty. The PS5 in case you don’t know, doesn’t have specific save files for the various modes and profiles. Everything is tied together in 1 file. So I would lose all my be a pro, my franchises, everything if I deleted it and didn’t back it up.

    @Leigrez 

    Your WoC progress and content is saved on our servers so deleting that data won't affect cause anything to be lost. I'm talking about offline modes.
