Those teams that do not have on-ice projections will have national anthems more frequently featured in the pre-game sequence in comparison to before this patch.
In addition, in a future patch coming in mid-November, NHL 23 will include logo-based on-ice projections for the remaining 26 NHL teams that previously did not have any in order to further expand presentation features in response to community feedback.

I wouldn’t mind knowing why the pre game intros need to be “more frequent” instead of just all the time?
I personally always skip them, so presentation is very low on my priority list, but now it seems actual fixes are being pushed back to include things that should have never been removed.
Community ManagerHey, everyone. There are a lot of posts here asking if specific issues are going to be addressed. We would love to see that happen, but only what is being mentioned in the patch notes is what's coming tomorrow as well as the HUT migration. I don't have any details on the mid-November patch that was mentioned. Most likely, that will be announced the day before that patch is released.
@EA_Aljo mid-November is next week. You seriously don’t know at least if the mid-November Patch/Update is coming out in the middle of November?
@volcano62 unfortunately this is accurate because a. the painting was the old Playoffs theme and b. there isn’t any painting on the ice irl anymore (virtual ads have been where it used to be since the 2021 Playoffs)
