This is what we have all wanted from the start.. the presentation post hit 700 comments and it still seems to not be enough to try and push some kind of real response or action.. on any platform... To me it seems like this is a way to move the playbase away from the traditional game and more towards an online based arcade style game. It's not working at all but I could see it. It's not as big of a market as Madden or Fifa so I'd guess a smaller team. So if they need to focus on the "rent a card" then making drastic changes like this is to see how the reaction would be. Or they ran into major issues in how it works with the intros and new dynamic stats.. knew they couldn't fix it for NHL 23's life cycle.. along with probably running out of development time in general.. which is why we are getting those cookie cutter entrances for the remaining teams... To satisfy what they marketed... Only issue with that is that they marketed a more immerse presentation experience online and off. So they would mean to meet the marketing requirement for the product they marketed compared to what was sold. It should be more immersive then NHL 22.. which we all know is not the case. So no matter which one it is.. I'd guess they decided it was easier to be vague and silent. Then make small changes and come out saying they listened.. even though they really didn't (still makes them look like the heroes in their eyes) and remain silent on the real concern. Why else would they wait until after release of the standard edition to say it was intentional.. then cease communication in the presentation issue thread after we kept up asking what was going on or what is the progress on it. They think if they wait long enough it will just go away.
