Offline Community is Frustrated!

Numerous offline gamers/content creators are frustrated with the content and other issues pertaining the game modes. Something that was noticed from NHL 20 that carried on to 23 was that players had wrong handedness. This included my cousin Ryan who plays in the ECHL. He is a right hand shot, not a lefty! Lots of top Roster content creators have done the work to fix these issues and have asked to help EA with it. Why not included them in the roster editing before game release to get the handedness/heights correct? This is just the tip of the iceberg to many ither problems.

In Franchise mode the line chemistry is abysmal! A 76 overall is on the 1st line while a 98 is on the 3rd? RFA offer sheets a broken! You can qualify a player who finished their entry level contract without losing any picks... Presentation is a short cutscene that might be there every 3-8 games... You can't included female players from the international rosters.

BAP wasn't even touched! Many longtime requests never made the cut! Can't use a female player in the mode...

Creation those is lackluster in female player hairstyles. Wanted to create a bunch of PWHPA players but the lack of customization makes it unrealistic...

Allstar/Prospects games still missing!

Seems more offline content gets removed and instead we get these trends like the Michigan. Zegras, and one last chance puck movement where you dive all over the ice like it's a all-star swim team.

The offline community matters too! I play HUT/WOC mainly myself but not everyone does!

A patch to fix the offline content is needed for this game to survive until 24 arrives! Sadly I uninstalled it until something is done!

@Aralkar This isn't the first time they have false advertised features either. Several years ago, RIGHT ON THE GAME CASE it said legends would be playable in franchise. At release they weren't there and EA didn't mention it until people called them out.

They claimed they were having bugs with them and they would be included in a patch. Months go by and EA ignores everyone about it until the next game came out. See they can literally false advertise on the case and nothing is done. The video games industry needs someone to start regulating all the shady crap companies like EA do. They don't even try to hide it.

@Limp_KidzKit Id love to see EA comment on how many people are done with this game now. They won't. They will just advertise more packs.

damn right! as if EA was afraid that we would change all players to 6'8 instead of realizing that offline players are detail freaks

@Kmahrle83 Amen! They're all part of the problem though IMHO. They are helping drill the holes in the sinking ship. Either our Forum comments are ignored or they're never given to the devs. If the comments are received and they're ignored by the producers etc. then I hope they reap what they sow soon. Maybe they can go work at Twitter. I hear they have a few openings. I'm beyond tired with the Forum moderator's comments that "the devs don't tell us why etc." year after year too. As soon as they feel the pain inflicted by FORMER customers like myself the sooner their profits dwindle and they're forced to change (or abandon it altogether). Me? I couldn't care less what they do as I'm done being ripped off. All I want for Christmas is another company to release a NHL game.

@DeMiGoD19882K sure have their flaws...but their offline content (NBA2K, WWE2K) is still LIGHT YEARS ahead of what EA has been giving us for the past two console generations.

  • @KomicJ Wwe2k22 was horrible offline. Universe was untouched and gm mode was essentially a beta version. Showcase was the only notable thing. NBA is a casino game with basketball integrated into it.

@DeMiGoD1988Still doesn't change the fact that it's light years ahead of the NHL series. NBA offers TONS of customization features, from league customization tools to importing your own logos. Hell, you want to override who won MVP on a given year, you can. Meanwhile, we can't even adjust a player's height ! Want to take part in an allstar game, or a 3-point shot contest in franchise mode...you can. Meanwhile, we don't even get an all-star game. The list goes on and on. As for WWE2K, the series sure has its flaws. But considering the huge hit the series tok when Yukes got taken out, I still think 2K22 was a pretty decent effort. GM Mode is a good first swing, and at least 2K didn't advertise a presentation overhaul only to cut the intro to their bare minimum, in their final product.

I own and play 2K’s NBA2K22 and I have a blast with the offline mode.  The players look real.  The gameplay is stellar.  The Legends teams are the bomb!  The graphics are so good that it looks like a live broadcast of a NBA game.  I honestly can’t say that re: NHL 22 (which I own and tried to like).   It’s why I passed on NHL23.
