I'd be shocked if they add things as simple as changing the face/ name/ hairstyle/ hair color etc. On any player (excluding face scanned players) in any game mode.
They remove editing features like changing players playing style/ position and add back nothing, instead we have drafts full of 18yo grey hair sniper lookalikes, or a first round almost full of defensemen.
Updates in creation zone is usually few or nothing. We need much new things for creation zone. In here list is things, what we needs to creation zone.
Updated locations list. Lot of cities is missing. For example SHL cities Gävle, Karlstad, Oskarhamn and Ängelholm not found at current locations list, as neither Hradec Králové, Örnsköldsvik or Porrentruy.
Possibility use numerals in team creation. We can now use numerals in team nickname, abbreviation and arena name, but not in team name. In NHL 17 we have possibility use numerals in team name, but not after that.
Possible choose "none" to "play by play" name in player creation. In team creation this is possible, but not in player creation. EA Sports has made huge work, when they update "play by play" name list to the NHL22. They added lot of new last names, what you can choose for created player, but still there is missing some names, like Irbe.
Possible choose jersey nameplate background color. Philly Flyers has used since 2008 white nameplate in their orange jersey. Hopefully we would get finally choose nameplate background color in future, when we create teams.
Possibility create helmetless players. Alumni players are good add to the game, but lot of players is missing and some player has been removed. For example NHL legends Bobby Hull has been removed, if we want create Hull, to the game, promblem is, that we can't create helmetless players.
Same face creator tool, what is used in FIFA . In FIFA games, we would get to enjoy at very good face creator tool, when we play career mode or when we create players in FIFA. We should be get this same face creator tool to NHL 24. Now when we create players in NHL, our need choose players faces from ready face models.In FIFA we can create real looking players and managers to game, with this face creator tool. This would be huge step forward in player creations, if we get this in the futere to NHL games. After that we could create our own favourite players to game, so that they look real. Also we need more new hairstyles to use. For example ponytails, should get to use in player creation.
New jersey styles to team creation. Now we have almost all NHL jerseys in use, but not all. For example NY Rangers home jersey, Dallas Stars home jersey, Chicago Blackhawks home jersey and Seattle Kraken jersey are missing in the game. Would be nice, if EA Sports added to the creation zone IIHF jersey -, NHL All-Stars jersey -, NHL Reverse Retro jersey-, World Cup of Hockey jersey -, AHL jersey- and ECHL jersey styles. Of course all missing NHL jersys, should add there.
More logos to creation zone. Now we have in use NHL-, ECHL-, Vintage logos. We want get AHL logos to use in creation zone. In addition would be nice, if we would get using national team logos or flags in team creation. Also we want more vintage logos to the game. Better than this, would be, if we could upload logos for the game .
More equipments. We need more old skater- and goalie equipments to the game. We have in use lot of goalie equipments from Brian's, CCM, Vaughn, Warrior. From Bauer, KOHO and True we have in use few equipments, okay True new, but we want more old equipments from these manufactures. Also we need more old skater equipments from Bauer and Easton. For example some players especially in Europe use yet the following skates Bauer Supreme Ultrasonic and Bauer Vapor 2X Pro. If it not be difficult, woudl be nice, if we would get all removed equipments back to game.
Possibility choose face mask color. We have possibility choose visor tint, but not be possibility choose face mask color in helmet types "college helmet" and "hybrid shield". Now when you choose "college helmet" for created player, face mask is same color like helmet. Normally face mask is black, silver or white.
- New height scale to player creation. In current height scale has not taken into account, that female players are under 5'7" (170 cm) tall. Now we can choose height in between 5'7" (170 cm) - 6'9" (206 cm) . But like I said many players are shorter, than minimum height, which we can choose in player creation. For example one of best female goalie, finnish Noora Räty is 5'5" (165 cm) tall.Hopefully EA Sports would take into account in NHL24. In FIFA female players height is take account, because in there we can create players, which are 5'3" tall.
