Edit: I just got some info on this. So, what needs to happen is the puck has to go through the crease and cross the center of it. For example, if the puck starts from the right side, it needs to continue going left and pass the center point of the net. Then, post to post will activate.

This ability in insanely costly with 10 points and sure last year it was OP, this year though with the new goalie animation it's not worth more than 4 points.
At 10 points it has to activate WAY more and really be noticeable otherwise it's worthless.
We won't fix all the issues with goalies here but the points value can be modified easily so it can become more usable.
