presentation doesn't Work For Nhl 23

Id say it comes down for the fact that it actually has presentation where this has so little it barely even exists.. or works properly most of the time for that matter. Just cause it may look worse aesthetically doesn't always mean it's always worse. The amount of glitches I have seen with those goal celebrations like I mentioned earlier also makes them less appealing compared to older ones that may have worse movement or camera but actually worked properly. Plus going from a game from a much older generation is reason enough alone to say that the presentation doesnt cut it. Being within the next gen era we shouldn't have to compare to games from the 2000's. Not from a company/development team who only makes sports/nhl games for the most part. Id say this is on the same level as NHL 15.

@EvaElfieSimp3Yes. Plus Fifa even has the stuff like Madden.. says how fast the shot was that went in for example. Why does NHL not have that. I never thought I'd feel that Madden has better presentation than NHL but here we are.. and Fifa is like 10 years in front of NHL for presentation. It's sad how a company can't even work together to balance it out.

Without wanting to act as thread policeman, comparison of games across the decades is delighting EA. I'm sure they'd love to see this thread fade away into low key arguments between contributors.

The problem here is that upgraded presentation was promoted for NHL 23 and a de facto downgraded version of '22 has been delivered to people who bought the title based on that particular promotion as a key selling point.

This matter isn't subjective. It's shameful misrepresentation of a 70 dollar product that is absolutely third rate in this area in comparison to all other similarly priced sports titles.

And still no word on how EA are going to make this right with CUSTOMERS.

We shouldn't have to reminisce.. we should just be able to play the upgraded presentation that they offered and we all paid for. Imagine if we actually got the game they promoted. We wouldn't have to all be here reminiscing about the "good old days".. we would be playing the game. 

Still holding off on buying this until all the bugs are fixed.  But from what I'm seeing and reading, I think it's safe to conclude EA never bothered to look at the presentation issue from '22.  Instead, they added a few things, probably forgot about the issue, and at the last minute were, "Oh sh......".  

The issue last year, and it was reported early and discussed numerous times, is when you had presentation set at FULL, then played a game (offline or online), presentation would default back to condensed.  EA never addressed it or fixed it. Why?  No idea...another EA mystery.

As a community, we need to stop giving EA the benefit of the doubt.  Issues have plagued this series year after year after year.  What is the usual response by EA?  It's the players fault.  Again, I read somewhere that the "D" in this game is still out of position.  Another issue that was repeatedly discussed last year.  Strategies not working last year?  Well, this year you can't control them in franchise....a "cover up" band aid way of making you think they fixed the issue.  Which is another annoyance.  They don't fix it, they just "hide it".

This debacle with the presentation is just plain ridiculous.  43 pages has clearly defined the anger.  Where is EA?  You can't tell me presentation is so difficult.  Look at MLB The Show.  It feels and looks like a TV broadcast.  No excuses.

Hockey needs to leave EA's hands.  They can't do it right, nor have they for many, many, many years.  I'll be glad if 2k takes up hockey again.  If there is roster sharing again in 2k, who cares if 2K doesn't have the NHL license.  It will be fixed by the community and at least we know we'll be getting a good hockey video game.  The sad part is EA Hockey has gone the opposite direction than where it should be in 2022.  The product we currently have (and had)  might be "acceptable" in 2009, but not now.

@Steven5470Its too bad that their coaches don't work correctly either for strategies haha.. so I guess no one is the coach than. But really is just another thing on a long list of missteps they made with NHL 23. Maybe when or if they decide to patch in the rest of the game we will have that too. 

We have been told that ea was well aware of the community fealing on this,.......so,where is their answer ???

Tomorow will be 2 week since release for x factor edition. They need to come with a response....anything.

What is beeing done about the fact that you sold a video game that doesn't exist.

Starting with a apology would be the first stepp. Than, do you fix the game ? Do you refund ? Or you gave us free nhl 24 next year ?

Because it cannot stay like this ! Something has to be done and you know it. So, what are you doing to fix your mistake. 

@MasterB89 We all know deep inside that this won't be fixed, the same goes for broadcast options and presentation. They choose to still promote it despite the feature being not ready, and therefore intentionally mislead us to think of something that we were not given in the game after all.

@Aralkar Maybe they won't do something, maybe they will. The best thing we can do is explain the situation in a constructive way, as we've been reminded so often, and literally do nothing, as they do. You don't buy the game, you don't play it, you even don't buy it when it's on sale, as appealing as it is. Itching for hockey? Go play NHL 22. It's the best constructive way to show them our feelings about the game.

@EvaElfieSimp3Sadly, I think you're right.

For anyone who wants to get their money back, make a copy of the promotional material from the presentation deep dive trailer and its general claims of upgrade.

Make sure to grab a screenshot of the only official comment throughout 40 odd pages of this thread where it says the decision to remove Broadcast presentation was intentional.

This alone proves misleading behavior by EA towards customers. Note the promo material is still being used.

Be sure to include a link to this thread which now clearly indicates by weight of numbers that something is badly wrong rather than subjective experience or a very occasional glitch.

The current situation is a failure by EA to engage with customer complaints, the vast majority of which have been made in a non-abusive manner rather long-time supporters expressing real disappointment at being duped.

By not responding to this thread in any timely, constructive or reconciliatory manner through employed representatives, EA as a company are seemingly content that they have your money and are not going to help you reclaim that outlay despite knowing they've misled you. Whether they initially meant to or not.

We know EA have misled customers. EA know they have misled customers. We know that EA know we know !

But it seems the official tactic is to ignore customers. It won't work. Not this time.

If offline sales are no longer the big whale dollar market you're targeting, EA then expedite the refund process for anyone who wants it, do a Konami eFootball, concentrate solely on HUT and online and the best of luck to you.

@Rigu7 Its sad how this will be the only way to get this situation resolved. You'd think they would want to at least be active on the situation but I guess that will never be the case. This is very precise and helpful.

I love that you promoted new crowd sounds but then basically remove their visual interaction in the game. Where are the fans after either team scores a goal. Crowd signs.. crowds cheering for an upcoming power play (you even get us to choose an option while creating a team).. bobble head or shirt night events..that you get us to plan and set in franchise mode...  Please explain to me how this makes sense... And how you offered an upgraded fan experience? Do you need to me get images from NHL 22 for you? Or are you going to tell me that I need to pause the game to go into the instant replay to see the fans reaction? That seems to be your answer for all of it..
