I'm still seeing the coach. In HUT at least. Regardless, I'll pass on the feedback. I wouldn't mind seeing the animation removed between scenes so lines can still be swapped. Personally, I'm very quick with my line changes so there's always been enough time to get the lines in that I want. It would still be nice to have that window extended by a few seconds though.
It maybe a good idea to reinstate it in the next patch as a goodwill gesture as the communities faith in EA is starting to buckle.
- 3 years ago@DeMiGoD1988 It buckled soon after release. I don't trust EA for any of their games after this bait and switch followed by an expressed disinterest in correcting the issue. I don't know if it is EA as a company or if it is the team in Vancouver but if I buy anything from them it will have already been out for awhile and my anger at this will have to have subsided. I'm around in hope that they will provide what they advertised before the new year, but the chances of me purchasing NHL 24 after this debacle is pretty much nil. Maybe in 10 years I'll buy another NHL game if that isn't fixed soon, but still probably not. They really harmed the trust between the company and its customers this year and have yet to communicate remorse. Aljo can't tell us anything because they won't say anything above him.
I went from someone who bought this game every year and bought the Sims with almost every expansion in 3 and 4 to someone who is uncertain if they would ever buy another EA product again.
Who still has faith in the company? I haven't seen anything they have done to try to regain our trust other than make pre-game intros happen a bit more often - still generally not happen - and add some generic thing for the rest of the teams. No attempt to give what was promised; no attempt to explain themselves; just speaking down to us as if we are unruly for being dissatisfied.- 3 years ago
And I think a lot of the frustration has to do with the nature of buying in this series.
For example, with The Sims 4, it had all sorts of problems when it first came out. I went back to Sims 3 not long after and only found my way in after most of those problems had been fixed. It was going to be missing a lot of content that was already there in Sims 3, it might not compare at first, but it eventually got there. However, NHL 23 is $100 down the drain. This game will probably never be fixed - you have to buy a whole new game instead. That game may be missing all the things we were expecting in this game too even if we did buy it. It may have even more missing from it. We don't know. What we do know is that the team went off to work on that new game without ever making this game playable. It is not what was advertised and it is missing things that we assumed we could take for granted because it should be cut and paste. If EA was going back in and fixing this game so that it did work right we could think of forgiving them for a bad launch. Many games have bad launches. But when they just put the mess behind them and leave us with the bill it is something completely different. The trust is severed.- 3 years ago@VeronicatheCD Sim 3.. castaways was my favourite. Sims 4 everyone talks smack to each other and you can’t stop… also I was taking a diplomatic approach hoping for an answer 🤷🏻♂️
